Thaï Orchidée Lausanne — Restaurant in Lausanne

I odered a 100CHf dinner in this restaurant through Uber Eats. The delivery man arrived to the place and texted me that he was downstairs. I told him to ring the bell and come upstairs. As he wasn’t replying I went down to look for him and couldn’t find him. I called him and he didn’t pick up. A bit later I received the notification that my ordered was delivered but I had received nothing. I looked for the order in the main door, in the outside door, there was nothing. Maybe he took it with him, maybe he left it outside and someone stole it. The only thing I know is that I never got my food. I complained to Uber and they told me since the guy had contacted me and he had waited 8 minutes they were not refunding the money!!! He did no effort to contact me other than sending 1 text message and not replying to my calls. So be careful! You might order, get charged and never...

Im really shocked to have to write this.. I have come to Thai Orchidee a few years ago and really enjoyed their food, especially their pad thai. This time however, I decided to get take away pad thai and they showed me to the take away joint nearby. The service was really good, order promptly taken, there was a deal to get a tea with it that the server added, so far so good.

I come home and am a little confused by the massive chunks of chicken on top of my noodles.. I try and eat some noodles on their own, they’re very clumpy and 2/3 dont have sauce on them (still white), I try the chicken next, and my god it really smells off. The whole dish tasted really bad and nothing like a pad thai you’d expect :( I’m unsure if the kitchen staff changed, if the takeaway has their own staff, but I’m writing this after a few bites of a dish I will...

Had a fantastic time here with my hockey mom friends! We started with a delicious sushi platter and followed it up with individual Asian dishes — everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was top-notch. We had a cozy corner reserved just for us, and both the manager and staff were very attentive and welcoming.

What really stood out were the little extras — not every restaurant offers surprises like that! I enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day with a friend and her kids. It’s a very family-friendly spot, which makes it a great choice for parents.

My family and I have been coming here for few years now, and each time feels like a new experience....
