I was visiting Lausanne for the first time. Lovely city. As it was the weekend, we got a chance to check the night life in this town. On Saturday night, we had finished a training session. My English colleagues and I decided to pop into a decent looking Tex Mex. Mistake!!.
The restaurant manager, a young woman, looked at us. We asked if she spoke English. She looked at us in a stern way and said no. She asked if we were going to eat. We advised, as best we could, we only wanted some drinks. She pointed to an area and said see if you find a space. Luckily we were able to.
We sit down, it took a little while to get served. But eventually a young girl came and tried to take our order. Her English was not at all good. So she called her English speaking colleague. It turned out they both some Spanish. So her colleague started talking the order.
At this point, the first manager we encountered came over to our table. She asked what was going on. She looked at the first assistant with and evil eye and immediately told her to come away with her. It was obvious she was about to give a telling off to this girl. We asked the second assistant what was happening. She just looked at us and said she did not care. She advised she just wanted to take our order. Talk about working in a toxic environment.
Anyway, when our servings were ready, it was the original manager who brought them to us. She really did not look happy with us. We had decided to offer nachos. She brought these to us. She also, at the same time, gave our bill.
We are not bad people, we had really enjoyed the city and people. This restaurant left s really bad experience for us. We will not visit ever again. I always say to people, check the venue out for yourself. But on this occasion, I would suggest there may be better Tex Mex places. Aucun geste nâa Ă©tĂ© fait envers nous et surtout sans oublier que la phrase â je mâexcuseâ fait pas partie de son vocabulaire. Tout en sachant que le resto Ă©tait vide. Donc lâexcuse du stress et trop de travail nâest pas valable.

The staff manners and quality of service 3/5 The prices compared to food quality 1/5 And the ambience especially when live music or a fest is going on 4/5. I can bet the quality of original meat served in this place is similar to the one that is being sold in butcher stores at Renens (sourced from France and old) with a maximum price of 20chf per kilos priced after cooking to be about 40chf each 100-150 gram. The bergers many times are not even cooked decently. I assume cold bergers from fridge are cooked over very high heat. My recommendation for drinks there is the bottle beers from london, and for the food the beef fajitas. The ribs quality they serve can be bought for 1/4th of the price in âcanadian barâ, but same quality.
