The Green Van Company Lausanne - Burgers maison — Restaurant in Lausanne

We were given a very warm welcome by the staff who came to explain the concept. Although the wait was a bit longer than expected, the burgers were fantastic ans the fries delectable. Not only was the meat very tasty, but the combined flavors of all the burger toppings were added in a gourmet manner. Excellent! I do need to say that the interior was very cramped and suboptimal with the round tables. However, since this company has a food truck and this restaurant, I imagine that their concept might expand to another, perhaps larger location at some point. In comparing with the known competition: fries on par with those from Holy Cow (as a burger aficionado, I think HC burgers are quite bad) and the burgers are on the same level at least with Geneva's Inglewood locations in Eaux Vives and by Plainpalais (haven't tried Inglewood Lausanne yet). As for the price, the combo which included burger, fries and a drink was a great deal for the center of Lausanne. Will come again! Hope that hours during weekends can be extended. Imagine coming here late night instead of going for Döner... One...

Unfortunately, a second bad experience at Green Van Company. I went there to get a burger (take away) around 17:45 and the guy just took out a patty from a dish beside the stove (not a fridge) and grilled it. unfortunately I didn’t try it right there, but when I got home, the meat was clearly old and smelled bad. After two bites neither me nor my boy friend could eat it. I went back there after a few hours on my way with the burger and told them that it was clearly old meat but they didn’t accept of course and said that they can give me a new burger to which I said no as I didn’t want to have dinner 3 hours after I initially had bought the burger. Très bon burger lieux sympas déjà connu de l’ancien fast food. Le personnel du moins ce jour là était tout aussi agréable que la météo c’est a dire plutôt glaciale, le serveur doit probablement avoir un handicape des zigomatiques! Pas très chaleureux, alors que nous arrivions tout sourie en disant qu’on nous a conseillé cette adresse car c’était les meilleurs burgers du coin, voir de Lausanne, heureusement c’est pas très faux. mon conjoint a adoré son burger Et surtout les frites, le mien que j’avais fait sur mesure était bon mais fade, et l’air dédaigneux du serveur/cuisto quand j’ai passé ma commande de burger sur mesure (et pour moi le sur mesure signifie que tant que les billets de banque suivent je peux mettre autant de chose que je veux et comme bon me semble sans que ça gêne le personnel, ça avais l’air de l’agacer que je mélange les "style" je ne sais pas si la personne derrière le comptoir était l’origine des burger mais ont était à deux doit de partir surtout quand je demande à quoi correspond tel produit (le pain) et au lieux de m’expliquer et de me dire qu’ils sont en expo devant il m’a dit d’aller voir sans plus d’info... du coup mon burger était bon je n’ai pas senti les saveurs que j’avais demandé mais il n’en restais pas moins bon (en rajoutant de la mayonnaise et du ketchup à défaut) sinon les frites sont vraiment vraiment bonne! Les prix correcte pour la qualité des produits utilisés. Alors ont va dire qu’il a passer une mauvaise journée même si avec sa collègue pour parler de paranormal la il était au taquet ;) mais y’a de forte chance qu’on revienne ! Mais si l’expérience est toujours aussi désagréable ça sera sûrement la dernière. Pour ce qui est de l’hygiène le resto était propre je nai pas fait attention si le port des gants était respecté. Sinon autre point positif c’est les prises USB pour recharger son téléphone par exp. Ps: message au clients diabétique attention le thé froid maison paraît non sucré ou vraiment peu nous l’avons analysé et il était à plus de 20mmol/l donc quand même assez sucré donc...
