Tao Bar & Asian Restaurant — Restaurant in Lausanne

Last night was crowded on Saturday night. We arrived there for drinking with Friends, there was one man who arranged the table outside around 10pm was ask us if we could wait for a little bit for table for 2 queued more, we said no problem. We standed there for 25mins and clearly he could see us waiting. Then when our queue arrived, he passed that table to another group next to us. The reason just because we didn't wait behind the sign of waiting!!!...... well, I could see if he worked in military base, I would understand. But this is too much and service job has to come with flexible sometimes and how he respond to the client suppose to be more polite with nice reaction. It's just ridiculous how he reacted to me and my friends. DOMMAGE !!! he should learn when to be compromise in his job and more humble. Then we left and went to MAD CLUB, the staff there even bring us to the roof top with full hospitality...

Wanted to have lunch with hubby & one of our daughter. We saw the menu (wanted to have meat) and dinner was opened as from 19h on the lovely terrace. We ordered drinks (had to wait to get the drinks menu) and upon receiving the food menu we were informed (!) That kitchen wasn't open till 7.30 and we had to check the tapas menu! There was just a couple things but we saw the tartare which we would have ordered but we were kindly informed that the tartare was a no-no and same for the jalapeño... but we could have a vegan??? Dish ??? We left 'cos we wanted MEAT!!! And please be aware that on the ground floor it was written on a cardboard "dinner as from 19h" which was great as we planned to see a movie... So disappointed! We went to Tartares & co just a bit further (terrace not so nice but lovely service and LOTS of meat and...

This is another one of my favorite places.

For me the five stars are totally deserved. They have an excellent vegetarian curry, and are willing to spice it up. That's really important to me, so yay! The staff are really nice too.

The deco is really nice, if a but generic, but it's going to be, right? I mean it is a modern building, so if they manage to please the eye they win, and they do win.

Finally there's constantly a combination of k-pop and bollywood videos playing on the screens behind the bar, which is entertaining. But, there's the rub: it can be a little loud, but personally I don't mind. I go there when I'm in the mood, but if it's your one night out and you need something quiet there are more...
