Palmeraie — Restaurant in Montreux

I had high expectations for the brunch at Hotel Montreux Palace given its reputation, but I left feeling completely disappointed. While the manager was friendly and tried to be helpful, that didn’t make up for the abysmal experience. The waitress had a sour expression the entire time, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. Even worse, the food was plagued by flies, which is absolutely unacceptable for a supposedly top-tier establishment.

The taste of the food was edible, but certainly not worth the exorbitant 105 CHF per person price tag. There are far better restaurants in the area where you’ll receive 100 times better service and far superior food quality. Save your money and go elsewhere if you’re looking for a luxurious dining experience.

I also noticed other common issues that have been pointed out by previous reviewers: the brunch is poorly organized, the buffet items often run out and replaced with other duplicated items. All in all, it was a regrettable experience that I wouldn’t...

We had a very pleasant brunch today with our family. Silvja was our waitress and she was very kind. It was the first time we were seated in the veranda which was very nice to enjoy the sunlight especially now that fall is starting. The views on the lake were stunning from our table. Food was delicious as usual and we tried lots of different fish dishes for their “peche Normande” theme today. Which was delicious. We will be back for sure next year! Pride is reasonable for Switzerland and the sort I enjoy the most is the cheese buffet which is absolutely incredible. Their smoked salmon was also extremely tender and one of the best I have ever eaten (growing up in Seattle as a kid this really is a compliment...

Nous avons passé un excellent moment lors de notre brunch ! Le choix était fabuleux, la nourriture excellente et le personnel à la fois professionnel et très bienveillant. Le seul petit point d’amélioration : ce serait vraiment appréciable que, lorsque le personnel voit que nous avons un enfant avec nous, il nous informe dès notre arrivée qu’il existe un club pour les enfants. Nous ne le savions pas, et c’est un serveur qui nous l’a indiqué alors que nous étions déjà bien avancés dans le brunch. Notre fils y est ensuite allé et il a adoré ! Cela nous a permis de profiter tranquillement de la fin du brunch. C’est un vrai plus, surtout pour un brunch d’une telle qualité et avec un choix aussi varié.
