Why Montreux — Restaurant in Montreux

Why Montreux restaurant has potential with its trendy and modern decor, but unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. As a fairly new establishment, it seems they are struggling with serious management and service issues.

The main problem was the incredibly slow service. We were a party of 8, and the food took forever to arrive, with each dish coming out at different times—some of us had finished eating before others even received their meals. The waitstaff, while friendly, were clearly overwhelmed and understaffed, leading to delays in everything from getting drinks to cleaning the table. At one point, a waiter was cleaning a table behind us with loud clattering of silverware and dishes, adding to the chaotic atmosphere.

There was no visible floor manager to coordinate seating or assist the staff, leaving the waiters scrambling and unable to provide even basic service. The table wasn’t cleaned on time, drink refills were nonexistent, and no one checked on us due to the sheer lack of organization.

This level of mismanagement is unacceptable. I left extremely dissatisfied and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone until they address these critical issues. Sadly, I won’t be...

I saw the sign on the waterfront that this spot was close to where I was. That was appealing because I had sat twice in two restaurants on the waterfront without getting service. When I walked in, I was greeted by Arnaud. The atmosphere was very nice with the restaurant well- appointed. Super music. Not to loud. Added to ambiance. Food was amazing especially the pistachio dessert. They had Swiss wine which I can’t get in the USA which is partly why I’ve been enjoying it during my stay in Switzerland. Arnaud went above and beyond to make sure that I had info to get Swiss wine! He’s a gem.

Why why? Well, I guess there's no other restaurant offering a similar dining and dancing experience in Montreux. It was my first time there, and I hadn't seen any photos or read any reviews upfront. So upon arrival, I was impressed by how modern it was... Not your usual classic 🇨🇭 restaurant. I guess that's why it was full of young people, properly dressed, to eat and have fun once the DJ starts his show. The food was fine, I had the 🐙 as main; the service was fine, as long as you're not in a hurry. This is a place to enjoy the atmosphere, after all. I can't say anything about the music as I left before it started. Have fun! Why? Have fun! Why?...
