Restaurant Genepy — Restaurant in Zermatt

Just had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant! My husband and I had such a great time — the service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. We came earlier than our reservation, but were warmly welcomed. Someone escorted us to the restaurant, took our coats, and our waitress seated us at a lovely table with a beautiful view of the Matterhorn.

Our drinks arrived quickly, and the chef even treated us to a complimentary soup — such a thoughtful surprise! For the main course, my husband ordered the Swiss burger and I had the tortellini with Zermatt herbs. Both were absolutely delicious.

We had a wonderful experience at Genepy in Zermatt! The food was absolutely delicious and the view is stunning, it really adds to the whole atmosphere.

We tried the ceviche, which was unique and different from a traditional ceviche; it had a Swiss twist with some fresh fruit, and it was so flavorful and refreshing. My husband really enjoyed his burger, and I had the risotto with blueberries and fish an unexpected combination but incredibly tasty.

We ate here TWICE! We had such an amazing experience the first night, we returned for a repeat. I’m allergic to shellfish, dairy and wheat; the staff went out of their way to find food for me to enjoy. I often have to make do with a green salad or French fries when traveling, Genepy made sure I hade delicious (and beautifully plated) gourmet food that fit my diet.
