I came here before last year and it was great. We went again last night and it was a lot different then we remembered. They charged us more pretty much wherever they could and the portions where fairly small and they also mixed up some orders. We asked for some Tacos as a Starter but waited an entire hour anyway and they brought everything more or less together. Like i ordered birria tacos and they brought me quesadillas which cost more, or give us more expensive drinks. We saw the waiters chatting and drinking during service which is probably why everything took forever. The Bill at the End didn‘t make any sense to any of us, like 12.50 for 5cl of beer is just insane. but we just wanted to pay to get it over with. The Tacos where alright but i can just do them at home at this point. The prices are bad enough already dont need to add extras everywhere if the food takes forever.
I probably wont be back if it stays like this which is sad cause i initially really...
Read moreSorry but the taste was NOT authentic or good at all. I'm Mexican so I have to be honest about this place. Service was great and margaritas were OK, but the tortillas tasted like they were almost rotten, and also did the pozole (you know, that acidic/salty flavor). The alambre had no flavor. The guacamole was mediocre. By the way, please stop using feta cheese as a substitute for string cheese or young fresh cheese. Sorry! It wasn't only me who disliked the food, I went with a couple of friends who weren't Mexican and they had the same opinion. Again, the manager is very kind and super open for feedback, but there are no excuses for almost-spoilt food. I know it's difficult to achieve an authentic flavor but I thought getting the ingredients in bulk would be somehow cheaper than it is for us Mexican expats. I guess it isn't. Maybe it was a bad experience but let me tell you, el Luchador isn't that much better either. I'll keep preparing my own Mexican...
Read moreTried this place back a while ago and gave it another chance but only to be disappointed again. The waiting time was just ridiculous and after 45 min wait the lady told us well there are still a few tables ahead of us and it will be another 15 min. This for an order of around 10 tacos for 4 people. Having Mexican relatives myself i know that preparing tacos isnt that big of a deal especially when all the ingredients like in the case of El Luchador are already prepared as extra wishes cant be granted as all things are already premade as explained by the waitress. Taste wise it was mediocre and the vegetarian taco was just a joke, a few pieces of veggies inside for 2 tacos for a price of CHF 15.—. I dont understand why this place is packed but certainly i won‘t return. This place had a second chance and they blew it. Luckily there are now other Mexican places to...
