After the service, we had the opportunity to take a walk around inside and marvel at the amazing murals and detailed ceiling. Late 1800s church with a bell tower & colonnaded interior modeled after the early basilicas of Rome. This lesser-known church near the main train station and next to ETH has a crypt that can be visited for a moment of quiet reflection.

Please do something about the bells. I live within earshot of them and can't even be on the phone when they chime on weekends. Not to mention that a chance for a 10min nap in the middle of the day to counterbalance my insomnia is often wasted. I'm sure you can just make them shorter, not suggesting you remove them entirely. I've lived next to other churches before and know it's completely possible to be more discrete and...

Phantastische Mosaiken und Fresken im Jugendstil. Blumenschmuck sehr geschmackvoll, so wie die Musikbegleitung und die Gottesdienstgestaltung im Ganzen. Sehr empfehlenswert für Katholiken als Kirche für den Sonn- und Festtagsgottesdienst. Aber auch für alle Personen, die einen Ort der Stille und Meditation suchen. Für das letztere ist besonders die Krypta unten geeignet mit ihrer schlichten, aber ebenfalls sehr durchdachten und geschmackvollen Gestaltung mit Backziegel. Dort wird immer wieder das Allerheiligste für die Anbetung ausgesetzt. Auch sonst ein sehr guter Ort zum Nachdenken und Beten. Für alle, die am byzantinischen Gottesdienst interessiert sind, finden in der Krypta am 1. und 3. Sonntag im Monat (ausser am 3. im August und 1. im September) um 14.00 ukrainische...
