Disappointing Experience All Around
We decided to dine in with hopes of enjoying some authentic Asian cuisine, but unfortunately, we were left quite disappointed with both the food quality and service. We started with a couple of dim sum dishes. While they were passable, they lacked the authenticity and flavor that dim sum is known for, though we understand the adaptations that sometimes happen with Asian cuisine in Europe.
However, things went downhill with our main dishes. We ordered the char siu rice and chicken rice, but both dishes were barely edible. The char siu had a stale, unpleasant smell, suggesting it wasn’t fresh, and the chicken was overly rubbery, tasting far from fresh as well. The accompanying vegetables were bland and lacked any seasoning, making the entire meal underwhelming. We only managed a mouthful each before deciding we couldn’t continue.
When the manager came over to check on us, we politely mentioned the issues, but instead of an apology or any attempt to make things right, we were met with a raised eyebrow and indifference. This dismissive and unfriendly reaction was just as disappointing as the food.
Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this place—not only due to the poor quality of the food but also because of the unprofessional and unwelcoming attitude...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place after Googling "cheungfun Zurich" and glad I did! I'm from Taiwan and my family used to have yumcha every weekend when I was little, and my mum is Hakka so a lot of the dishes here remind me of home!
Both the dim sum dishes and the larger "Chinese specialty" dishes taste authentic -- some of the dimsum e.g. chuengfun and ribs with black been sauce don't quite the same taste as the standard Cantonese dimsum but every chef has their own recipe. The luobogao is my favourite, as is the Yuxiang eggplant.
I took my parents here when they were visiting and they loved it. They had been travelling Europe for 3 months and really appreciated an authentic meal from home. My Hakka mum was able to speak Hakka to the lovely staff, and she was really happy with the food! My Swiss husband also loves everything that we order, so really, everyone in our family loves this place!
We haven't been here for lunch or hotpot yet, but I am sure...

I love this restaurant, I didn't get this service level and value/price rate anywhere in Zürich in last one year. It's a honest and a really good food, close enough authentic to real Hong Kong food. They were so nice to us and they were carrying us. It's finally not a usual "Chineese" restaurant, it's a travel to Asia with all good parts of Asian gastronomy.
About food: We were celebrating our anniversary here, and we ordered a dim sum and hot pot. They amazed us, we got outstanding good quality meat, vegetables, soup base, and the quantity was so much, even we ask to box half of the meat, crabs and fish. (It was on Sunday, the all you can eat buffet is open on weekdays)
Summary: I fully recommend it for you. If you want to eat a good dish for relaible price, if you want get really full in casual enviroment just pick up someone (hot pot from 2 person) and go there. I can promise you, you...
