Loved this place… after a long day exploring Zurich it was our sanctuary. We sat out front watching Zurich life go by and travelers coming and going from the train station. Great for people watching. Inside is cozy and welcoming with comfy couches and candle lit lighting. I can’t speak highly enough of Andras, our bartender. I said I liked the cookies that are served with the coffee and my next cup had several cookies with it. It’s the little things like that that he would do and he always went the extra mile. This place became the evening hangout after long sightseeing in Zürich. “Andras welcomed us and I instantly felt like a local visitor. He was very interesting to talk with & so accommodating. Love the vibe inside as well as the patio outside. He was even so incredible to sneak out and provide the best chips ever to accompany my late nite sandwich. Sehr empathische Bedienung - aber: Achtung Diskrimination von Menschen. Zu ehrende und achtende Älteste unserer züricher Gemeinschaft werden hier respektlos und verabscheuenswürdig diskriminiert. Meine liebenswerte Mutter kann mich hier nicht zum Cappucino einladen, weils sie kein smartphone hat (und auch keines will) und keine ec-Karte hat (und auch keine will). Das ist ein absolutes no-go! Gebürtige Züricherin seit vielen Generationen und kann ihre Tochter nicht zum Kaffee einladen... weil? Jemandes Ego cooler sein will als alle anderen? Es gibt weder wirtschaftliche, ökonomische, ökologische und schon gar keine sozialen Gründe für dieses Verhalten der Hauptentscheidungsträger vom "il baretto".

Sie können auch entscheiden beides an zu bieten, so wie die meisten Dienstleister dies tun. In ein paar Jahrzehnten, wenn dann diese Generation Älteste nicht mehr lebend unter uns wandeln und die gesamte Gesellschaft beschlossen hat digitalfreies Leben nicht zu schützen, können sie das gerne tun. Aktuell ist es aber respektlos. Und diejenige die bargeldlos zahlen wollen, tun dies ja sowieso, die kümmert es nicht, ob sie auch Bargeld haben oder nicht.
