Zebra Bar — Restaurant in Zurich

I wanted to visit this place because of the Fondue and the chicken wings. We started with a fondue for two and got a beer too. The owner was friendly and even told us how to eat fondue which I never ate from a big red pot before, so I am very beginner in this type of meal. The cheese mix was having at least 3 cheese in it and some alcohol too I think. We ate it all, although I thought the cheese will never end; we skipped the idea of chicken wings. Mind that during the whole trip in Switzerland there was a heatwave so we were less hungry than usual. The feeling of the interior is the same I got when popped in in Paris to a Taverne for a beer. Anyhow if you are not into the faded retro style maybe you can sit outside. Paid about 70 EUR for two by card including tip. Yes, this is not cheap, nothing is in this country. Was exciting to try a fondue place in Switzerland. Found this place base on google and reddit recommendation. Arrived this place for our first night in zurich, no wait for a table. This restaurant have a limited menu, ordered fondue and chicken wings with fries. The wings were well season, the fries was too bland. Now comes the fondue, we were disappointed with it, there was a strong alcohol taste in the fondue and we finished amybe 10% of it. One of the review on google mentioned, there is 50% wine in the fondue and I have to agree. Now the bill come and the price for the fondue is $28 X 2, not knowing when the owner asks fondue for 2? Meaning the price is double. I would recommend this place only if someone is into alcohol in the fondue otherwise this place is...

We had cheese fondue and chicken wings with mixed salad, both were very nice and tasty! The owner (who is also the chef & waiter! Superb one-man band!) is very kind and attentive to every customer, we felt very welcomed and enjoyed our dinner very much. We really hope to come back for the great food and meet the great owner again soon! :)

P.S. There is no English menu but this warm & cosy restaurant only serves a few specialties so it wouldn’t be difficult to make your order. You may ask the owner for drink recommendations too. While there are more customers in the restaurant please kindly be patient and wait to be served if there is only the owner. He is really nice and...
