For breakfast, we had a small original rice noodle soup and another small tripe rice noodle soup. Though we were full from the noodle soups, which overflowed with delicious and satisfying flavour, we had to try the smoked duck rice ball. It's a meal in itself, a mix of different textures hugged by black rice. Everything in it made for the tastiest meal. Wrapped in a plastic bag, we were able to take half of it away with us for snacking. Eating it can get messy though, so best to do it seated. Seating at the shop was limited, there were only 3 seats outside, but one can always ask the vendor to just have take-out/take away as most locals do. The English menu is visible alongside the local one, with options to simply point at what you want at the ordering window. If you do eat in, bring your rubbish back to the window for disposal, something I was able to do after I observed previous customers. In all, this little shop provided an amazing meal for NT$200 for 2 people, with a super efficient and friendly guy at the till. I would definitely recommend you try it if you're...
Read moreIt’s super highly rated and it is very close to where we stay at, so we must at least try it once.
We ordered the duck mixed soup and duck rice ball with iced milk tea. Wow wow wow!!! They were so freaking GOOD!!!! We couldn’t stop eating. The duck rice ball had a decent amount of ingredients inside with a thin layer of sticky purple rice. Its texture, flavour, and colours looked amazing. The duck mixed soup was a mix of ducks and other ingredients. We kept having one bite after another. It was just so good that no wonder people rated this food stall 4.8 stars. The milk tea was sooo good as well. Now I want to go back and eat more lol not exaggerating here.
The food stall provides takeout only. No seating areas. The business owner or whoever served us was very polite and friendly. He made each item fresh for customers. LOVE...
Read moreQuality of food: 5/5 - fantastic refreshing breakfast noodle soup. We were a bit hesitant to try but after the first bite it was apparent why this is a popular breakfast item. The soup was very thick but light and fragrant. This was perfect for breakfast in the morning as the soup was not overpowering or overly savoury. Not too salty either. Cleanliness: 5/5 - clean restaurant, take out only with 4 seats outside by the window Service: 5/5 - relatively quick service Value for money: 5/5 - good price for the noodle soup, a small is more than enough for breakfast for one person
Recommendation: 5/5 - this restaurant deserves a detour from your trip to try for breakfast. The original noodle soup is a must try, and say yes when asked if you want chili oil and pepper. Great breakfast option to wake you up and give you energy...
