The alleyway and restaurant decor makes you feel like you fell back in time. I stumbled upon this shop when I noticed their Japanese-style oden stand at the entrance of the alley, which is unusual since most alley carts feature Taiwanese food. Walking through, I was starstruck upon recognizing the restaurant interior.
The flavors are Taiwanese-Japanese fusion and while the food is of middling quality at best, it was hearty, warm, and filling. I loved the outdoor ordering experience where you order your hot food to spec, then slide your tray along to grab pre-plated hot and cold side dishes and mains. This is the type of unique local experience that I think will linger in our memories.
