Overheard local mentioning this place was popular, decided to join the long queue to try. Saw that the menu had oyster soup, pig livers and pig kidney thus the motivation to queue.
Waited for about 20-30mins to finally make our orders and to be ushered to the table. Ordered a fried oyster, oyster clear soup, sesame oil pig livers and sesame oil pig kidney. Total about $535. Probably the most for 2 pax from what I observed as most people only ordered a portion of the fried oyster individually.
I would say I enjoyed and I liked the taste of the all 4 dishes. The sauce which accompanied the livers and kidney was a bomb. It was so tasty, I dipped my fried oyster into the sauce too. The oyster clear soup was filled with lots of ginger strips and the soup tasted refreshing. Helps to clear the palate and oiliness of the fried oyster.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Shop was a little small and cramped so do be careful when transversing the...
Read moreI used to live in that area and this is one of my favorite. Today, I went there at 4pm with two kids. There were no one in line, so I ordered 1 omelet, the lady asked me how many people, so I said 3 (including a 6 and 4yrs old). Kids are not eating, I just want to have a quick bite before the crowds come, that’s why I went at 4pm. She looked at me unhappily and turned her head away without telling me whether she “allows” me to just order 1 omelet for 3 people. So I asked, is that ok? And also told her that we will finish it really quick. I understand that she has limited seat, that’s why she always unhappily if you share the omelet. However, it was 4pm and no body is eating and waiting in line at all!! Then, she screamed back to me and asked me to WAIT! I was shocked and just walked away. I will never come back! There are others omelet in Taipei, we pay for the food so that we can enjoy,...
Read moreAunty who managed the queue was very lovely and hospitable. She was very nice while taking orders and ushering us in when it was time to be seated. We ordered 2 dishes: oyster omelette($80) and sesame oil pig's kidney soup ($120). I saw some comments on google about the price versus quantity of the food and indeed, quantity of the kidney was abit lesser than what I hoped for and the size of oysters were definitely a shocker. Oysters in the omelette were about the size of a $1 coin in height. :( BUT, I really like that the ingredients were fresh and the food was well cooked and tasty! I am usually averse to pig's kidney but I ate this without hesitation. Good taste. Slight wait for the seats during peak hours but again, aunty...
