永和小籠包 — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

I strongly advise against visiting this store because of its disrespectful behavior. While enjoying a meal and chatting with friends, a staff member approached us and rudely scolded us for laughing, claiming it disturbed the neighbors on the second floor who were sleeping. This reprimand, coupled with a note asking for silence, was delivered in a very impolite manner. (we weren't even laughing loudly, nor did our laughter last for more than a second.)I found it ridiculous to be chastised within minutes of meeting my foreign friends. The store should have expressed its concerns more politely and offered an appropriate alternative space. Moreover, the dining environment was below standard. I won't be returning, as the store could relocate if noise continues to be an issue instead of imposing restrictions...

Very local simple place. You can see them making the 小籠包. They have only one kind with pig meat and some green in it. They sell for 60 ntd a basket of 9 steamed 小籠包. They give you some ginger so you can make a dipping sauce to go together with the 小籠包。 They also sell 酸辣湯 (sweet and sour soup) and a pig blood soup. Their business seems good because when we were eaiting there was a line of people queuing up. Nearby is a milk tea shop in case you like some drinks with the food...

This establishment has been around for almost 40 years and it shows. It's family run and the dumplings were made to order when we went. The price is unbelievable for the quality you get. I would go as far as saying this is better than Din Tai Fung xiao long baos. The skin is thin, the soup is hot and flavourful and the meat/soup ratio is perfect and tender.
