This was my second time at Squid Beer, while visiting my wife’s family in Keelung. As you can see from most of the other reviews of this place, this is a gem of a bar, not far from Keelung night market. Kevin, the owner was an incredibly friendly guy, providing great conversation alongside the craft beer. There were a selection of quality draught beers on tap, ranging from DIPA, IPA, pilsner and others; as well as a fridge full of a variety of bottled beers and cans. I happened upon this bar while walking around near my stay in Keelung and was charmed by it right from the start. The owner Kevin really cares about the guest's experience and can find the perfect beer to suit your taste. I had an amazing beer from Nantou county that tasted like Rodenbach (seriously) among so many others. The bar is designed to be welcoming to tourists, so don't sweat it if you're feeling nervous trying to fit in.
