Squid Beer is not merely a bar; it is a transcendental experience, a symposium of hops, humanity, and harbor breezes. Kevin, the enigmatic philosopher-king of this boozy oasis, serves as both curator and confidant. His beer selection rivals the works of Homer—epic, diverse, and deeply satisfying.
Nestled in the heart of Keelung, Squid Beer offers more than craft brews; it provides a stage for spirited debates, existential musings, and the occasional karaoke performance that teeters between tragedy and comedy. The ambiance is a study in contrasts: rustic yet refined, cozy yet cosmic.
Come for the beer, stay for Kevin's storytelling, and leave with a profound sense of fulfillment (and perhaps a slight buzz). Squid Beer is a place where one can toast to life's absurdities and, in the process, discover its hidden poetry. Highly recommended for connoisseurs of culture...

The beers were sourced from Taiwan and internationally. I’ve promised Kevin to come back and challenge for top spot on his...
Read moreI happened upon this bar while walking around near my stay in Keelung and was charmed by it right from the start. The owner Kevin really cares about the guest's experience and can find the perfect beer to suit your taste. The bar is designed to be welcoming to tourists, so don't sweat it if you're feeling nervous trying to fit in. Thank you for welcoming me to your beautiful, rainy port city and for letting me learn a little more about life where you're from. I'll look back fondly for...
