越南小棧 （淡水店） — Restaurant in New Taipei

Really enjoyed the pho. I had a mixed pho ( raw, cooked beef and beef balls). The broth was really tasty and full of flavour. The rice noodles were delicious and with a good texture. The raw beef was pleasant but I didn't enjoy the cooked beef and the beef balls that much. Nevertheless, I was very happy with the broth and noodles.

The Vietnamese style green papaya salad was tasty. It wasn't the best I've had but certainly pleasant.

The moon prawn pancake was nice. A good portion of prawns in the filling. I'm not a big fan of fried foods so I enjoyed the filling more.

The dessert was ok - not the best Ive had but not awful.

The warm tea in the self serve area was lovely. I couldn't figure out what tea that was but it was fragrant and smooth.

A Hearts Day, we choose to eat here for late lunch.

About the place, compared to other Vietnam restaurants I searched, this one is a large place and spacious inside.

A good ambiance and decor on each wall.

High soft chairs, high tables, very spacious as you notice.

Clean place too.

Service a quite fast enough depending on your order but we don't wait for long.

The food is truly delicious, huge serving.

Available warm tea, and condiments.

We spend 1000nt plus for two people, and it's a reasonable price.

There's a toilet, it's nice.

The beef pho was good for something you normally wouldn't get in Taiwan vs Vietnam or the States but I wish the veggies were placed on the side instead of in the bowl. The condiments like hoison and Sriracha had little to no flavor as it did nothing to my broth. They also don't have any chili oil and lime. Only fish sauce pepper. Customer service is ok. It's all self serve and they didn't tell us we had to go up front to turn in our order sheet so we sat for about 10 min without them checking in on us before we asked them.
