I ordered a la carte and had the beef Bourguignon, the beef vegetable soup, mushroom gratin with toast, the complimentary sour, and had half my friend’s lemon millefeuille. Mushroom gratin (80NT): it tasted like they just opened a can of Campbell mushroom soup, put a bit of cheese powder on it, broiled it and was done. Except I spent some time wondering if Campbell’s wouldn’t have more flavor. The toast was exactly that: thick cut toast slices like you’d get at the bakery, without even a bit of garlic or butter to show they gave a damn. Better value for your money: slice of Costco mushroom pizza, available at the Beitou Costco at time of review. Beef vegetable soup (80): I was wondering if it had come out of a can except then I encountered a bite of beef and it was not only underwhelming (boiled beef, no browning beforehand, the fat was squishy), the beef tasted actively on the side of rancid. Beef Bourg (390): the beef came in one large chunk and it was really bland, and because as they said, the beef and sauce was cooked separately (totally not how beef Bourg is made) you could taste that the beef didn’t have that beefy taste. I’ve had boiled beef that was good and this just didn’t feel like it was either good or fresh beef. I’d guess they boiled up a lot of it and put it in reserve and just heated and added sauce as necessary. The potato tasted oddly like nothing, except the (slightly rancid) oil they fried it in. I didn’t bother trying the carrots. It wasn’t just bland; it tasted like flavorless mush. The sour: not bad as a palate cleanser but it didn’t taste like lemon juice, it tasted like lemon flavoring. The lemon millefeuille: this was…just not that great. The filling didn’t taste that much like fresh lemon and had an odd texture, possibly because it was frozen (conjecture). 兩星給環境和服務人員。 羅宋湯:湯偏鹹,沒啥蔬菜的甜味,本來以為是罐頭湯後來吃到裡面小塊牛肉有油耗味,然後就一個白水煮牛肉的情況。(西方牛肉湯的牛肉大多會先煎到金黃會比較有味道) 香菇醬麵包:感覺80元很沒誠意,就厚片吐司切邊,別說蒜頭香料,奶油都沒抹一咪。所謂焗烤蘑菇,就是勾芡過多的香菇濃湯拿去烤的吧?基本吃不下,後來灑了厚厚一層黑胡椒吃掉的。 誠心建議可以改去好市多花60元買個香菇披薩,好吃一百倍。 紅酒燉牛肉:第一次見到是一整塊拳頭大小的牛肉去燉的,甚至感覺也是白水煮的因為基本沒啥味道,後來問了他們說牛肉跟醬汁分開煮的,那還是「紅酒燉」牛肉嗎!而且牛肉感覺不是很新鮮要不就是大鍋煮起來放著一兩天,基本沒有牛肉的香味和甜味。我自己家裡白水高壓鍋燉牛肉都不是這個又沒滋味又有點隔夜菜的味道。 馬鈴薯居然也是無味,除了表皮他們拿來炸的時候用的油的油耗味。 紅蘿蔔我就沒想吃了,不作評論。 檸檬千層:懶得多說,就是不咋的。 試吃了朋友的「凱撒」沙拉醬:什麼神奇玩意。凱撒的新鮮蒜頭檸檬汁芥末小魚味都無就算了,還是一個鹹甜類似tamarind 的味道,什麼鬼。 對王品徹底失望,覺得基本騙錢。 (經過反饋他們說謝謝,送了一個小保溫袋,說會改進,誰可以來看看是不是改進了)

It is not like the other branch with smaller, more tender pieces, but two big hunks that were incredibly chewy and not flavorful enough to make it worth the effort. We were warned that the beef cut would be tough, and it definitely was with a tight texture. The server said that they cook the beef separately, rather than in the sauce, which probably contributed to the taste and texture.
The squid for the salad was overcooked and more akin to beef jerky.
I got the set meal and everything else was enjoyable, with the creme brulee iced tea as the best of the lot. For being a meat place, the non protein parts...

I'm not found of how the pork chop was seasoned. None of the dishes stands out, and they hardly enhanced each other either.
Staffs were very friendly and courtesy. Plenty of room in the restaurant but seats weren't that comfortable.
