I haven’t visited BOTTLESS in a while, while the food quality still tastes great overall, we could feel two areas that weren’t as great as before. They follow SUPER strictly regarding the 2hr dining period, even when it is not full house. I completely understand this policy, but oftentimes when restaurants are not facing full house capacity, they are willing to be a little more flexible. Our server continuously reminded us about the dining period every few 10 or so minutes. I don’t blame her for doing her job, but it’s a very stressful eating environment. Although in the end, the senior male staff offered us to move tables and continue to sit (we didn’t just sit there and stand their table, we still ordered more wine and desserts), we felt under pressure that we were troubling them. Another incident that’s so petty but completely semi-ruined our mood was in the end of our meal, they offered one fortune cookie for our party of 4. The last time I went there with my husband we were each offered a fortune cookie. I’m pretty sure the fortune cookie doesn’t cost a lot at all, and between the 4 of us we spent over $7K, we were originally told that there’s 2 fortunes in the big fortune cookie, so we asked nicely if we could have another one since there’s 4 of us. It was a fun way to end our night and celebration, to eat read our “fortune”. The server gave us the feeling like we were finding her trouble, and although she eventually served up a second fortune cookie, she especially emphasized that it was because the kitchen made an extra one. I’m not sure if it’s because of COVID-19 and business isn’t as great as before, or for some weird reason to change the policy to “one fortune cookie per table” but maybe it’s not worth risking your consumers’ night by taking out this fun part and standing so firm to your “policy”. If it costs so much to hand a fortune cookie, maybe you can consider making it smaller and give everyone one. I’m sure that was the whole purpose of creating this concept in the first place. I’m going to dine again at your sister restaurant GEN for Mother’s Day, I hope the experience is a...

Off the top, the service was great! Decor is very trendy, menu was creative but still not following the “ Bottles concept”
As a wine lover, yes, I understand the fact that we shouldn’t blindly follow the label of the winery but by the basic wine drinking knowledge is to navigate the taste buds preference through the regions which is very important to shown on the menu and nothing to do with the winery directly. There can be tenth or hundreds of winery at same Loire Valery, but they don’t always produce Sancerre. Is it a bad drinking culture or new drinking culture that they print the nose of the wine on the menu? I thought that was the whole point of wine testing...and for real if you drink enough wine you should know what kind of nose that a grape and region would give you, but mostly people choose by the textured or body when drinking wine. They probably don’t even have a sommelier is what I’m guessing...maybe take some W-set class?
All the food we ordered was ok, not impressive. Maybe the oxtail croquet and beignet was delicious with consistent with and good flavours but I had better before. The bone marrow fried rice was disappointed, but oily and not the good oil from the bone marrow. Steak sandwich was great, but it’s a “Instagram food” that honestly shouldn’t be serving in an innovation restaurant anymore.
However, the dessert was great!!! Popcorn pudding! Both really fun! Crispy Caramelized popcorn w creamy pudding was a good mix. The other ice cream w some sort of tea...
Read moreI have gone back multiple times now, since that first visit and the service has been ON POINT! And the food has continued to be amazing, innovative and delicious. Having tried the brunch and the dinner menu, I think the dinner menu is definitely more interesting and unique. The red curry octopus is so damn good! I think Bottless is definitely one of the my favorite restaurants at the moment. I had been trying to get a reservation for Friday night or the weekend for months and it was always fully booked. I finally decided to go on a Thursday night for dinner to see what the fuss was all about and I have to say, I can see now why they are always fully reserved. Everything we ordered was not only amazingly delicious (I was licking the sauce off my plate) but also very creative and unique. The potato pave was a definite highlight. The space is nice and so is the service. The original person who was serving us described the dishes and did a great job. The second person just dropped the items off on the table with no explanation. While this wasn't too problematic for most of the things we ordered it was very frustrating that she didn't tell us about the Japanese eggplant dish we ordered. It was topped with chips, there was a sauce beneath we couldn't even see and we couldn't really figure out what the ideal way to eat...
