I found Koemon via Google and suggested my family to have coffee and dessert before heading to our train. We ordered 3 drinks and 3 desserts for a charge of $990. When the staff delivered the drinks, she told us that we were short of one more drink to fulfill the store policy - one drink per person. It was the first time I heard about their store policy. They did not inform me when I ordered our items. I asked them if our dessert order (paid $500 for them) would be counted for the 4th drink order. I received an answer of “NO”. They reinforced that I had to order the 4th drink order to meet the store policy. My two daughters just had other beverages earlier so they preferred sharing one drink and three desserts for variety of food instead. This arrangement was not accepted by the staff. They told me that my $990 expense at their store did not provide enough profit for their store’s leasing fee, staff salary, and utilities costs. At the end, I added another drink order (the 4th drink order) and cancel 3 desserts. The total amount I paid reduced from $990 to $660, to meet their store policy. Was the experience pleasant?
