NEST Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Tainan

I recently visited here with friends, craving authentic Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, our experience fell short.

Service was mediocre, but our main concern was the food. We ordered multiple dishes, but the Pad Thai was a major letdown. It lacked essential flavors, was overly sauced, and lost its signature tanginess. The Green Papaya Beef Salad was somewhat better but needed more fish sauce and balance.

The kitchen's pacing was abysmal. Dishes arrived 20 minutes apart, with two orders taking over 1.5 hours to arrive. We expressed our frustration to the wait staff, who kindly canceled our remaining orders.

Happy to say that Nest exceeded our expectations and we will 100% come back again! Their service was AMAZING! I've never been to a restaurant that offers to reheat your soup and adjust your cocktail if it is too sweet/sour to your taste! The vibe/decor of this place is also so cool and chill, with neon lights, fashion shows projected on the wall, a sand walkway to the bathroom, and more. The food was also rly yummy especially the pineapple fried rice, spicy 空心菜, and some chicken dish. The drinks are soo pretty and delish + the shots are quite cheap! The customer service is horrible. Im not sure if it had anything to do with ethnicity. We were the only customers there and it took them almost 30 minutes to come over and ask if we would like to have a drink. I literally had to wave them down to offer us service. The waitress was neither polite nor professional. She reminded me of queen Narissa from the movie enchanted. If you are african american I do not recommend this resteraunt.
