A Japanese restaurant inside a tourist area, so things are a bit pricey. The atmosphere is crowded and uncomfortable but looks shouldn't determine food quality, so despite everything, the seafood is very fresh. The scallops are sweet, the Tuna was flavourful, the Mackerel eggs were fatty. It feels freshly caught, never frozen.
However, the miso soup tasted watered down, off, and weirdly sweet (not in a good way). A restaurants miso soup should be a staple, a sign, of knowing if a place is good or not.

Read moreRead more剛好跟朋友到附近處理事情,事前就已經規劃好要吃這間位於赤崁樓對面的"山根壽司",用餐約莫晚上19:30左右,人潮還未湧現,之前只要晚上經過10次有8次都超多人!看到滿滿人潮就沒有想用餐的慾望⋯座位甚至滿位還要等⋯作罷了好幾次,經過友人的推薦,讓我也想嚐鮮看看~就有了這次的用餐體驗~ 友人說是她大學時的回憶,那時超火紅~這家店也經營了好幾十個年頭,算是在地知名日式料理店!不少遊客也會因為人潮而被吸引入座品嚐看看😳 ❌用餐區域是在騎樓上屬於開放式的環境,桌椅提供不算少桌,主要是沒有冷氣、電風扇也沒有辦法吹到每個角落,吃完覺得整體蠻熱的⋯夏天大中午吃絕對會是酷刑⋯! ⏰每週二公休,中午12:00營業到下午16:00,中間無空班,只休息一小時,17:00繼續營業到晚上營業到00:00,不管是點壽司當下午茶吃或當消夜都可以! 📑菜單自取後到櫃檯核對後付款,回到座位等待餐點即可,每份餐點現點現做需等待幾分鐘的時間,印象中沒超過10分鐘餐點陸陸續續就上桌了~ 📌非常適合一家大小、公司同事聚餐、朋友聚餐,一次點多一點分攤超划算!份量也不會太少,一份約3-4人吃綽綽有餘~食量大再額外自己點主食絕對會飽~ 🍴餐具皆自取(都是免洗的),桌面上有提供一些調味料可以使用有提供塑膠味碟,衛生紙於牆壁上自行抽取 🍱綜合壽司$70元兩顆豆皮壽司+5顆花壽司,醋飯酸度很夠非常符合我的胃口!吃完一個豆皮壽司就直接浮現想再買一份回家隔天吃的衝動🥹,花壽司裡的配料味道不會太突兀,吃起來醋的調味佔大部份,咬下還有脆脆的口感,整體不會到難吃~ 🧅涼拌洋蔥洋蔥切的大小片、粗細度剛剛好!洋蔥沒有嗆辣感只有甜味+和風醬味道,口感、調味與其他日料店無異,沒有什麼特殊之處~是當開胃冷菜非常適合的一道!當然不喜洋蔥就不要輕易嚐試了~ 🥣味噌湯一碗$20元,湯底散發出濃濃的鮭魚香氣,喝的出100%相信使用鮭魚熬製的湯頭,味噌的味道反而比較沒有那麼突兀,基本上都被鮭魚香氣蓋掉了(完全不腥)!調味也不會太鹹一人一碗喝完是不會膩的,整碗只有幾塊豆腐~以20元來說湯底用料算不錯了~ 🫙土瓶蒸$50元,個人不推⋯湯底有一股很濃不知道該怎麼形容的味道,猜是柴魚嗎?還是什麼?如果沒有加檸檬我應該會喝一口就不喝了⋯味道實在無法接受⋯湯底裡的配料吃起來也很普⋯雞肉很柴⋯一壺湯實在太多+倒嘴那邊有破損⋯真的是邊倒邊流出⋯不是很好...
Everything I've ever had here has been fresh and locally sourced. I'm not a fan of rolls because I don't want to stuff myself with rice typically. Nigiri and sashimi here are top notch. I understand the style is really Taiwanese but it doesn't mean it's any worse than stuff you get in fancy Japanese restaurants.
