This outdoor breakfast place offers a variety of typical Taiwanese breakfasts prepared in the most simple and traditional fashion at a very reasonable price. Although the dishes tend to be quite simple, do not think that it is not delicious - rather, the food is quite agreeable!
MUST ORDER: Depending on your preferences, definitely order either cold or hot soy milk (豆漿 Dou Jiang) as well as Xiaolongbao (小籠包). Everything else is also good, but after visiting many times, I have found these two to be particularly tasty.
SEATING: Seating is outdoor, first-come-first-serve. There is significant overhead cover, so you dont have to worry if it rains. There are plenty of seats and they normally keep auxiliary tables and chairs just in case. Generally you wont have to wait any longer than 2 minutes to get a seat.
STAFF: Staff is friendly, helpful, and extremely efficient. If they make a mistake, they are also quick to fix it and wont leave you waiting.
CLEANLINESS: Staff cleans the tables after every seating amd keeps the area generally clean (for a street food setting). Lingering sparrows are also efficient at cleaning up anything that falls on the ground.
PRICE: The food at this place is on the cheap side (particularly in city center), so your wallet definitely won't be hurting after dining here.
OVERALL: 5 Stars - Definitely worth a visit particularly if you live or are staying nearby. They will give you a traditional and authentic taste if Taiwanese breakfast and serve it with a smile at a reasonable price. You won't be...

Since we were staying at the Mandarin Oriental Taipei, we decided to try this traditional Taiwanese breakfast spot that has good reviews. When we arrived, the place was packed and there was a long queue — but it was impossible to tell who was lining up for takeaway and who was waiting for dine-in. We noticed a few empty tables, and some people sat down before ordering, only to be told off by staff and asked to leave the table. Apparently, you’re meant to order first before being allocated a seat — which is fine, but why not put up a clear sign to explain the process?
The food itself was tasty, though some items were served in plastic bags when they could’ve easily been plated like the rest — a bit inconsistent and not eco-friendly. Some popular dishes sold out quite early too, so it’s better to...
Read moreWe tried 永和豆漿 四海豆漿 同其他豆漿 restaurants, this one is the best! The location is much more ventilated compare to other places which are like a hot steam room. The food item is spectacular and made to order. The taste of each item is exactlywhat I remember when I was little. The soybean milk is flavorful and rich. The 粢飯 is crunchy with 油條. 甜酥餅and 鹹酥餅 is very sesame and tasty. I love the family that runs the restaurants here as they are very friendly. They can provide a menu for non chinese speaking tourist as well. We came here for 5 days in a row for breakfast and will definitely come back next time when visiting...
