Disappointingly, the food here was mediocre. We ordered several traditional dishes but none really stood out. However, the way they handled customers’ complaints was memorable. Our table ordered a vermicelli noodle soup. When it first arrived, it was tasty. However, after our waitress topped off our pot with additional soup, the entire noodle soup tasted bitter. We still had half the pot left that was now compromised. We suspect they poured in the wrong soup base so flagged this with our waitress. Two employees (including the owner) came to taste it. The first young man who came to taste our pot loudly exclaimed “it doesn’t taste bitter! I swear!” while throwing one arm up in the air. The owner admitted it did taste a little off and crassly asked “what do you guys want? should I refund this?”. We told him to do what he thought was appropriate for this situation. Interestingly enough, what he saw fit was give us a 200 TWD discount even though they were the ones who ruined our half eaten pot of soup. It’s laughable. Customer service doesn’t seem to be a strong suit at this restaurant - unless you’re a famous person like Jensen Huang. They have his photos plastered inside and outside of the store as well as a menu of all the items he ordered when he dined at their restaurant. I’d pass on this restaurant unless you chase dining at restaurants that famous people...

Conclusion: Not bad, would revisit!

We dined as a group of nine and ordered 12 dishes, with some in larger portions and others smaller. Every dish was delicious and portions were generous. 👍
📍 Poached Chicken with Soy and Chili Sauce: Optional Even the breast meat was moist, not dry. The soy and chili sauce on the side paired perfectly.
📍 Hakka Stir-Fry: Recommended When served, everyone remarked they’d never seen such a large portion of Hakka stir-fry. 😂 It had all the standard ingredients—dried tofu, dried squid, pork belly, celery, and green onions—flavorful and perfect with rice. 👍
📍 Stir-Fried Pork Intestines with Ginger Strips: Recommended This is my must-order dish whenever I visit a Hakka restaurant. It had the right amount of tanginess, the intestines were clean and rich without being greasy, and the ginger strips were cooked to the perfect mildness. The only thing I didn’t understand was the addition of bean sprouts—why are they in this dish? 😓
📍 Clams with Loofah: Good for balance The loofah pieces were large and sweet, though the clam meat was a bit sparse and small.
📍 Three-Cup Squid: Recommended Generous portion of squid, cut in large pieces, fresh and sweet.
📍 Pan-Fried Tilefish: Not recommended Pretty average and market priced.
📍 Stuffed Tofu (Similar to Shrimp Lettuce Wraps): Optional It’s like shrimp lettuce wraps but with small pieces of stinky tofu instead. Unfortunately, the fried dough was a bit soft.
📍 Fried Dough with Fresh Oysters: Recommended The oysters were large, fresh, plump, and juicy. Surprisingly delicious! 👍
📍 Hakka Braised Pork Belly: Recommended for those who enjoy fatty meat The pork was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The saltiness paired just right with the steamed buns. Fatty meat lovers will really enjoy this since it’s not overly greasy. 👍
📍 Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Balls: Not recommended A bit too oily and heavy overall.
📍 Kale with Beef: Recommended The beef was tender and seasoned just right, and the kale wasn’t too bitter or tough.
📍 Swordfish and Taro Rice Noodles: Good for groups Generous with ingredients, the rice noodles had the right thickness, the taro was soft and fluffy, and the broth was fresh...
