Last Saturday at 7:00 PM, I visited Longhou Xinyi Branch for dinner. It was a bit late, so we were hungry, and we were hoping for a good experience, especially since we'd previously enjoyed a meal at the Longhou Daan Branch. Luckily, there wasn’t much of a line. However, this visit was disappointing.
We walked into the restaurant, and the waiter was busy, so we stood around for a bit. While waiting, we noticed they were doing a free fried chicken giveaway. The first waiter, who was wearing glasses, came up to the cashier, and we asked him if the giveaway was available. He said yes, but we needed to join the membership first.
After we sat at our table, another waitress with a ponytail told us to scan the QR code on the table. Without context, I thought they had switched to ordering through a QR code instead of with a waiter. So I asked, "Oh, you guys switched to scanning for orders?" She said, "Oh no, that QR code is for the lucky draw. You can try it first, and then the waiter will come to take your order."
While waiting, we scanned the QR code and followed the steps ourselves. It turned out I won a free chicken wing ticket while my friend didn’t. (The pages that popped up were different, so we could see I had won.)
Soon after, another waiter came over and immediately asked what we wanted to order. Before we answered, my friend asked, "Could you help us check if we won the chicken wing giveaway?" We just wanted to confirm if we had won the chicken wings so we’d know whether to order more food or not. He said we needed to join the membership first, but I told him I had already done that. He then said, "Then you have to '點' first." (FYI: "點" can mean press or order.) Without context, I thought he meant I had to press the lucky draw button to claim my prize since that’s what we were talking about.
So my friend replied, "We already pressed it." He then said, in a pretty annoyed tone, "I mean, can you order the main dish first?" We didn’t say anything and just continued with the order. After we finished ordering, I went back to the lucky draw and asked, "Does this mean I won the lucky draw?" He said yes, but before I could even understand what was going on, he rushed to press the "use" button, and the screen switched to "already used." I was shocked because I hadn’t fully understood it yet, and he just pressed the button so quickly. Then he said, "It seems like you didn’t join the membership yet." I said, "I joined before playing the lucky draw." He replied, "No, you didn’t." We started arguing back and forth while he rushed through everything. He kept turning his head to look for help and asked another male waiter, but that waiter didn’t understand how to handle it, so he went to find yet another waiter, the guy with glasses from earlier.
When the waiter with glasses came to my table, the waiter who had been taking my order reluctantly said, "Help me talk to them. They say they’ve already joined, but it seems they haven’t. Let me know when you're done, and I’ll come back to take their order." I explained again that I had already joined, and the other waiter had already pressed "used" on my coupon. The waiter with glasses checked and confirmed, "Yes, you have a coupon and can use it now."
Then the other waiter said, "Okay, I’ll continue to take their order," but didn't apologize or acknowledge the confusion. He just went back to taking our order with a condescending attitude. The rushed behavior and lack of customer care completely ruined our dining experience.
I tried to stay calm, but the poor service made the whole meal unpleasant. Given the way we were treated, it felt unfair to be charged a service fee. The staff's attitude was unwelcoming, and the experience was by far the worst service I’ve encountered. I will not be returning to...
Read moreWhile the exterior decor may give off an upscale vibe, this restaurant pleasantly surprised me with its affordability. I ordered for the full meal, which included an array of salads, appetizers, a delightful puff pastry soup, and dessert. Personally, I found the main course to be exquisite, with tender and flavorful beef steak👍. The puff pastry soup provided a comforting touch, and their chips were also quite enjoyable. However, the dessert was just ok. They offer unlimited soda or coffee, a nice...

The meal was nice and the dishes tasted great, especially the mushroom risotto, however the chef's salad for example just looked sad, even though it's NT99 only. Drinks can be refilled and there are also some borscht and corn soup available for no...
