(one star⭐️was given only for the breathtaking view of taipei 101, which you could find any other bars nearby to get the similar views).
I visited Taiwan for the first time in three years, and I happened to have two chances to visit this bar. Both of them made me feel irritating and decided not to come back ever again cause you successfully ruined my rare nightlife experience in taipei: some of the staff of yours has a good attitude some has not, which made the whole service experience very uneven. ❌The first time: after my id is checked, I didn’t know where to go cause not a single staff try to help me to get seated, i mean even if the bar wasn’t that busy on weekdays, no one wants to guide us or even at least greet us, i felt very unwelcome just because me and my friends were not one of the customers that ordered bottle services. In this case, I had to leave and tried to find a better place that at least put respect as their top priority towards their customers who’s not celebs or who got big fat checks, I ended up go to the nearby bar called Ce La Vie (for those of you who try to find a nice place to have a great view WHILE ALSO treated with respect I highly recommend there cause the staff there are pleased to recommend you some great cocktails politely and encourage you to walk around to take a look at different angles of views of taipei).
❌The second time: my friend reserved a table and invited me to go with two female friends. This time we got the bottle services, but I still encountered difficulties that the manager threw at me and gave me a look. It’s nonsense to pay admission fees only to get in when you already have the table reserved, he forced me to pay an additional $23($700 NTD)for admission while my female friend weren’t not required to do so and they got in for free. Seriously I don’t understand that in this case why only me have to pay where almost half of the people were already left at nearly two o'clock in the middle of the night, remember, we reserved the biggest table which is with air conditioner. The way that the manager gave me pressure in front of everybody, finding the excuse about the number of visitors within the bar made me really uncomfortable and sick. At the moment, I had no choice but to hand in the money, but later I found that it was not the case after entering the venue(yeah, i got fooled by the manager, the number of customers were still within a reasonable range). Also, In the era of gender equality in 2020, the store deliberately picked me to pay just because im the only male in the group. In addition, although they promised me the ticket could be used as a voucher to get 2 drinks, but it turns out the drinks could only be sth like vodka soda, cocktails order were not eligible for redemption. I felt unbelievable the way they regulate bunch of rules to deal with their customers. I feel that if the Drunk play series still wants to survive in Taipei’s nightlife business, it is necessary to seriously consider and reflect on their enthusiasm to serve their customers. I believe that the store doesn’t want to see the lease cancellation will come true by the department store before the lease actually expires. For the record, I am truly not a difficult guest. I just wanted to share the basic service and the feelings I hope to be treated as a normal guest. I think that based on the location and the scale of this store(I believe they think they’re a high-end bar lol) consumers should deserve some of the most basic greetings...
Read moreBabylon Taipei knows how to throw an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration! From the moment I arrived, the energy was electric, setting the tone for an incredible night of luxury, entertainment, and fun.
The venue itself is stunning, blending chic modern aesthetics with a cozy ambiance. The decorations for the evening were next level—elegant yet festive, with a dazzling mix of lights, glittering installations, and an impressive countdown clock centerpiece that heightened the anticipation.
The music lineup was perfectly curated, with DJs spinning a seamless mix of house, EDM, and chart-toppers that kept the crowd energized and dancing all night. The sound system was top-tier, and the lighting effects created a dynamic, immersive atmosphere. The live performances throughout the night added an extra layer of excitement and flair.
The service was impeccable, even with the large crowd. The staff managed everything with precision and professionalism, ensuring that everyone was well taken care of. The VIP area was particularly well-organized, with dedicated servers who made sure drinks flowed and guests were comfortable. Speaking of drinks, the bartenders were absolute artists, crafting premium cocktails that looked as good as they tasted.
The midnight countdown was a highlight. Babylon made it a magical moment with a spectacular light show, confetti cannons, and a champagne toast that brought the entire crowd together in joyous celebration. It was a memory that will stay with me for years.
If you’re looking for a top-tier venue to ring in the New Year, Babylon Taipei is the place to be. They’ve set the bar incredibly high, and I can’t wait to return for more of their events. A perfect way to start the year!
Highly recommended for anyone seeking a premium...
Read moreWe booked a private table at Babylon Rooftop for around 15 people for the New Years party. We had a great view of Taipei 101. The tables were well-managed and sectioned off by a staircase. Kevin, our server, was extremely attentive and kind to ensure that all of us were having a great time. Despite being New Years he made sure that we were okay by constantly checking in on a few of us to make sure we had what we needed such as water and enough drinks to have a successful fun night. The main dance floor with the main crowd downstairs was also a fun vibe where it never got too crowded, but the quality of the people and the dancing were there. Thanks again Kevin for making sure we are doing well as that added to some of the best nightlife experience that some of us had so far. The only downside I would say is there aren't many stalls in the bathrooms so average wait times for men...
