It's the annual hotspot of the Strawberry Daifuku (mochi). It's also the annual gathering point for waiting in line during Chinese New Year in the Da Tong district. To receive a mochi from here means your loved one has put the time and effort to wake up early and wait in line for hours and buy expensive dessert for you. This is the good part about it.
Now the ugly part. Waiting in line while is common in Taiwan, thi sis truly epic and always in the winter time also. Anyways, besides the waiting which is 80% of the experience. The mochi is pretty good. It's very aesthetic to the eye and just eating one you can taste the mochi, strawberry, redbean and the full weight of all those calories.

I grab dorayaki and a cake, then i knowtes that there's a woman bring a tray with a cup of drink and grilled cake (and i think that i have to try it). After paying for the dorayaki and cake, we bought the cake set outside, they provide some benches outside the store. Well the set we bought is wafer with redbean paste, and it come with a cup of tea. The taste of the waffer bring back fraction of my childhood. The dorayaki is also nice, since the anko came from the same batter, the other cake is…i cannot describe, it is nice...
