McDonald's Carrefour Guilin Branch — Restaurant in Taipei

This is the most infuriating McDonald's in all of Taiwan. It is the only one that refuses to ever give me a larger water cup. I tell them I'm happy to pay for it, because it's not in the system they won't give you.

You ask for a large water cup... They give you a tiny little thing. I have to pay for a Sprite or Coke, tell them I don't want the sprite or coke and just water, but they still put it in. So then I walk over and dump it out in front of tem i to the drain, and bring the cup back and ask them to fill it with water and they still don't seem to understand what's going on.

Worst setup and operation I’ve ever seen at a McDonald’s. They have 2 order counters, but one worker. I watched the employee serve 4 people that arrived after me before finally coming to my counter. If the counter is closed, they should put up a sign. Then there’s a monitor that displays the orders that are coming and being served, my number didn’t show up, and instead they just shouted my number over and over but I wasn’t listening as I was watching the monitor. I ordered the spicy burger meal, which came with a side of crispy chips and a hot coffee. The entire process was smooth and modern—orders are placed through a digital self-service machine, which assigns you a number. Once your food is ready, it’s brought directly to your table on the second floor.
