I ordered a piece of delicious German traditional Black Forest Cake (with a cherry in wine on top，德式黑森林蛋糕) and two cups of hot black brewed coffee (Columbian Arabia coffee beans，哥倫比亞熱黑咖啡) for my afternoon after my nostalgic conversation with my Japanese professor Nakata (なかた) about my beloved poor tender dead grandmother who told me that "Japanese people are good" by showing him 3 old Japanese colored magazines for first-year elementary school students printed in 1957 by 講談社 of my hyper machist dead grandfather's collection.

I want to see a German documentary "Tokyo-ga"(尋找小津) by famous Wim Wenders paying tribute to great Japanese cinema director Ozu whose films appeared in artistic monuments "Histoire(s) du Cinema" (電影史） by master Jean-Luc Godard.

It is a tradition for my wife to send postcards when we travel. We spent about an hour at this Starbucks branch to fill in these postcards. However, my wife accidentally left them behind and only discovered this later at night when we were at home, which was all the way in Linkou. The worst part was that our flight was scheduled for the day after, so we couldn’t drop by the branch to pick up the postcards again.

The next morning, I called this Starbucks branch and explained the situation to the staff over the phone. He told me about Uber’s ability to deliver packages within a short period of time. In the end, after a few back-and-forth phone calls, we managed to get the postcards delivered to my place within the hour. I also want to commend the entire team at this Starbucks branch. I didn’t have to explain my situation repeatedly to different staff on the phone because everybody knew about the situation and was eager to help. Thank you for helping...

This iconic Starbucks cafe at Ximending needs no introduction. Yet, I’ve never had a chance to step into Starbucks during my past trips to XMD cos I was distracted by the yummy Taiwanese local delights. 😁

While killing some time before we head off to the airport, we decided to have a quick snack at Starbucks. The ambience was nice and cosy. And of course the cappuccino and sandwich that I ordered didn’t disappoint. ☕️🥪😍
