Amazing food in a little restaurant in Taipei. Just went here with some friends and thought it was an amazing little restaurant. Expect a bit of a wait if you go during peak lunch hour, seems like the locals know how good this place is. It looks like they just updated their interior and is probably one of the cleaner restaurants I visited this past trip.
The noodles are handmade daily and are fantastic. They have a nice chew to them and holds on to sauce well. I tried the fried noodles and the cold noodles. I actually liked the cold noodles the best.
The staff at the restaurant were pushing the crab, which was apparently in season in September. It was some of the best crab I have had in a very long time, it was cooked perfectly and was so fresh. The price was also very cheap compared to what I am used to...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for 25 years, and I was surprised to see the bad reviews… I was back in Taipei and stopped by again and was very happy to find that the fried noodles were as amazing as always!! They’ve redone the interior, which looks great, and the employees were all happy and smiling.Don’t believe the negative reviews. The food is delicious (plus strong AC and clean restaurant)!
Sidenote: the restaurant is very popular and a lot of business people go there for lunch during the week, so if you do get there at 12:15 on a weekday, expect to wait!
Sidenote 2: I had not been to the restaurant in over two years, and when I walked in and was placing my order, the employee recognized me and smiled and said hi. It seems like they know a lot of their customers and are genuinely happy...

The ordering/seating is a bit hard to navigate, go to the counter for seating. they’ll assigned you a table with a ticket for noodle/soup/dishes. Fill out your ticket and go back to the counter. For the braised cuts, you use the steel trays and tongs to get what you want; if you want to know how much anything costs you’ll need to ask. One more tip, try the 2 types hot sauce with everything if you...
