This Taiwanese beef noodle restaurant, located in the Vieshow Cinema food court, is well-known with numerous branches across Taiwan. However, the experience here leaves room for improvement, especially in service and cleanliness. The dining area often has tables with uncollected dishes and finished bowls, giving it a somewhat neglected feel. Service can also be slow, with wait times of up to 30 minutes for a single bowl of noodles, even when the restaurant is less than half full on weekend evenings.
The noodles themselves, though traditionally known for their chewy texture, seemed slightly undercooked and tougher than expected. The soup base, while flavorful, leaned heavily on salt without achieving the rich spiciness often associated with classic Taiwanese beef noodle soup.
On the positive side, the restaurant does offer convenient ordering via QR code, allowing guests to place their orders from their seats. The decor is inviting and thoughtfully designed, providing a comfortable atmosphere that could make for a pleasant dining experience if the service and food quality were...

Read moreI had Dry Noodles with Sichuan Paste ($130) and paid $75 more (the drink I ordered costs $5 more than the other drinks, or it should be +$70) to make it a combo meal (One beverage + One side dish).
The spicy level the noodles got was the best for my taste buds. They also tasted quite sour, great with the peanut and had amazing texture. Besides, the deep-fried pork chops on the noodles were so crunchy, juicy and delicious. The braised egg was also nicely cooked.
The Osmanthus-scented Honey Plum Juice was quite sweet and a bit sour.
Smoked Shredded Pig Ears were cooled and tasted great and chewy.
In conclusion, the service was quite efficient and the foods were all good. It was affordable for the majority of people. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!
