世界豆漿大王 — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Found this spot randomly when I saw the long line for breakfast even at 9am. I waited about 20 min.

Despite most of the clients being Japanese on the morning that I went, the workers can also speak English which was really helpful (ask for English menu).

Rice roll was overloaded and delicious but wish the rice could lock in the ingredients better. It was like eating a overfilled Chipotle burrito. Daikon cake with egg was pretty good too though I'd ask it to be more char next time if I go back.

Dining area could use more fans since it get get very hot while eating. Rush to the 7-11 across the street to cool down...

Definitely one of the better executed soy-milk-for-breakfast places. There are so many around. The 5-spice power trace in the shao bing was well placed to give a streak of flavour here and there rather than uniformly mixed in to the pastry.

The salty version of the soy milk was particularly good. Nicely balanced vinegar taste and sweet chai poh added. If you're not familiar with this, think of miso soup rather than soy milk.

We came to Taiwan for a little vacation and we were looking for a traditional breakfast. My wife likes a salty soy milk with yu-tiao in it and we found it with this place. I had a sweet rice wrap in it was good, definitely better than the ones you can find in the states, like the ones from 99 Ranch Market. The ones from this place are bigger and tastier.
