OursInn Part 1 — Hotel in Taipei

This is not a fancy hotel, but if you're looking for a central place to stay on a budget, it does the trick. I booked here last minute on a 1 night stopover in Taipei. Just needed a comfy bed and a place to shower and clean up, and this fit the bill. The room is very simple but provided everything I needed: a twin bed, a small desk, and access to a shared bathroom & shower. AC would've been nice but was not necessary with the fan in the room, however my one request / piece of advice would be to provide a top sheet as well as the thick comforter. With only a fan in the room the comforter was way too heavy, but I prefer to sleep covered so a sheet would've made it more comfortable. Front desk staff were great. Even though one guy was new and still figuring things out, he went out of his way to be as helpful and friendly as he could.||||BE AWARE there are 2 locations of this hotel with the same exact name, so I ended up walking to the wrong one at first. Luckily it's only about a 10-15 minute walk between them. It would be a great idea to rename one, or call them Ours Inn 1 & 2, so that when a guest puts the hotel name in google maps they don't end up in the wrong spot. Even though it was my fault for not double checking the address with the confirmation email, I know I was not the first one to have made...

We booked for a whole week, and the first day the bathroom got flooded, you can't go inside for like 6 hours after taking a shower since everything is wet.

Also, the hotel says their rooms are soundproof and it's a complete scam, we could hear the noise from the outside traffic the whole night, it's impossible to fall asleep, even if you're tired from the travel.

The ceiling is completely dirty and moldy, and we found some giant cockroaches on it.

They also charge you the whole reservation price even if you leave after checking, we left them after we saw all these things and they didn't refund us anything, they charged us for luxury price hotel in Taipei, and it's a complete scam.

It's been a complete nightmare staying here for 1 night,...

Would strongly recommend you find somewhere else to stay. The room was small, extremely humid, there were cockroaches, stains on the bedding, mould on the walls, dust everywhere, the AC was extremely noisy and the check-in procedure was tedious as there's no one to check you in, just a barely functional machine.
