We stumbled upon this gem of a place with no reservations, but as we were pretty early, managed to get a table. It’s truly a great find, with very good food, reasonable pricing and helpful service. There is a min spend NT800/head which is not difficult to reach if you have 2 drinks each plus food.
They are yakitori specialist so mostly chicken, some pork, no beef or seafood. Chicken breast and meatballs were very good. Must try the fried chicken soup “tofu” which is basically chicken soup fried in a large nugget form so it’s almost gelatine beneath the crispy thin batter. Amazing. The truffled mayo that came with the fries was out-of-this-world umami… very addictive. The chef is certainly talented - even the house made chili dip is amazing in the fine balance of dried chilli, peppercorn & umami-ness. We ate everything with it!
Service by the 3 female staff was attentive, patient and efficient. The setting is also spacious enough, cozy but not cramped till you can hear your neighbour’s conversation. Background music was not too loud though the place is casual with a general relaxed vibe. Lovely rustic decor with warm lighting.
Probably best to make a reservation if...

I’ve been here a couple times since their opening last month, brought a few friends to this little gem and everyone loved it! Not to mention the price. It’s more than reasonable for the quality of food you get.
My friends and I had a mixture of chicken gizzard, chicken heart, grilled fish, chicken over rice and chicken meatballs with egg and EVERYTHING was was made perfect to our liking.

Read moreAs a non-local, the only dishes I enjoyed were the chicken meatball (no yolk version) n the whole fish dish I didn't even know I ordered. Overhyped place that requires reservations. Staff were a bit standoffish, compared to typical TW hospitality. btw, order the Yebisu beer from tap, thumbs up.
Side note: while waiting for place to open, was abt to sit on outside bench when a long chubby tail moved next to me. As a nyorker, I know what's connected to it, n it isnt cute like the...
