the vegetable side dishes in the “fast meal” (招牌快餐) were cold. there’s nothing wrong with having these pre-cooked so they be served faster, but at least have the common sense and basic decency to keep them warm like any自助餐 would. the taste itself was very ordinary (i do appreciate that their hot and sour soup is properly sour), though the dumplings were terribly bland and only made edible thanks to their chili oil.
the reason i’m giving this place one star is because it feels bad eating here. the place gets really packed at peak lunch hours (it starts clearing out after 1 PM), so expect to be seated really close with strangers at the same table, but that’s not all that uncommon at these sorts of places in taiwan.
what really annoyed me was when, while waiting for my food, the server stopped to ask me what i was doing. since the other three people at the table i was seated with were still eating, i suppose she assumed i was with them and wanted me to vacate my seat if i had already finished since there were still many people waiting to be seated. but wouldn’t it make more sense to assume that someone who doesn’t have anything in front of them at a place where people eat is just waiting for their food? it was just really jarring to suddenly be asked “what are you doing?” like, what do you think i’m doing? i was so taken aback by the ignorance of the question that i just replied with “huh?” and she asked me if i had already eaten, so i replied that i was waiting for my food, and she went about her way.
afterwards, she was wandering around with the food, trying to figure out whose it was before just calling out loudly what the food was in the hopes that someone would speak up. what’s the point of having customers write their table numbers on the order slip if you’re not even going to look at them?
service issues aside, the way they use their space is some of the most thoughtless i’ve ever seen. they’ve decided to shove clean utensils, condiments, and dirty utensils/dishes (yes, you have to return your things when you’ve finished eating) all into a single back corner next to the drink fridge, which is also where people waiting for their takeout orders stand and where the food comes out of the kitchen. so you have all these people crammed over there and waiting for each other. there was one poor foreigner/tourist who, seeing that everyone was getting things from that corner, ventured there to get some clean utensils. however, the sanitizing box where the clean utensils are stored is hidden behind the drink fridge, so the poor guy didn’t notice it and instead started rifling through the tray of dirty chopsticks, his face contorted in confusion as he felt the grease on those used utensils. i quickly intervened and pointed out where the clean ones are, and thankfully there was a spray bottle of disinfectant there as well, and then advised the staff to properly label things in english as well.
there are so many places to eat in taipei that there really isn’t any reason to come here, even if it is cheap, a simple bento anywhere else would be better than...
Read more一、紅燒麵、麻辣臭豆腐、酸辣麵/飯、招牌快餐、炸醬麵,小菜中的干絲、四季豆、咖哩花椰菜、油飯、燙青菜不錯。酸辣湯餃也還不錯。近年不斷漲價,價格已達中高,CP值大不如前。 1.酸辣湯餃:一碗內有八個餃子,實測餃子含餡部分長寬高約433.5公分,餃子皮不過軟不過薄,口感還不錯,內餡包香椿和素肉、粉絲,香椿味明顯,不過油不偏甜,味道還不錯。酸辣湯維持水準,微酸微麻而不辣,味道不錯。份量夠,連湯帶料吃完,一般男士都會飽。 2.招牌快餐:豆干軟嫩,滷得入味,有淡淡的八角香味,菠菜鮮嫩,吃來不澀口,紅蘿蔔炒白精靈菇,紅蘿蔔沒有菜腥味,配色、味道都不錯,高麗菜清脆鮮甜,白飯不過軟,拌所淋素肉燥味道不錯。(2024.08更新:再次點招牌快餐,菇類、高麗菜、青江菜、小豆干都保持水準;2025.07更新:本次快餐維持水準) 3.炸醬麵:炸醬以豆瓣醬、素肉和豆干丁調製,不油,鹹度適中,微帶點甘,味道不錯,小黃瓜絲切得太細,以致吃來稍軟,降低清脆的口感,若能切粗一點,口感會更好,麵條選用拉麵,從縱切面看是方形,煮得不過軟,口感可以,若能再硬Q點口感會更好。 4.咖哩花椰菜:花椰菜軟而不爛,咖哩煮得入味,不辣不偏甜,鹹度偏淡,口感味道都不錯。 5.油飯:糯米飯軟而微黏,口感還不錯,若能再Q一點會更好。配料有紅蘿蔔丁、豆干丁、素肉、香菇碎,醬油配色、調味後味道很好。 6.燙青菜:本日是地瓜葉清燙後淋上豆皮製作的素肉燥,清爽不油,味道不錯,價格比一般稍高。 7.紅燒麵:湯微甘,喝來感覺是蔬果熬煮後自然的甜味,配料有紅蘿蔔塊、白蘿蔔塊、杏鮑菇片、南瓜塊、豆包、白菜,最後再灑上香菜提味。紅蘿蔔塊沒有菜腥味,白蘿蔔塊軟硬適中,杏鮑菇片大而軟Q,口感不錯,也沒有杏鮑菇特有的菜腥味,料理得很好,豆包吸飽湯汁,多汁而美味,麵條是細拉麵,不過軟,口感可以,若能再硬Q點口感會更好。 8.臭豆腐細粉:臭豆腐軟嫩入味,味道不錯,但整碗細粉的價格高了點。 9.青椒炒豆干:青椒不辣、豆干軟中微帶點Q,口感都還不錯,但因豆豉影響而偏甜,豆豉若能降低糖量味道會更好。 10.干絲:軟而不爛,微帶點Q,清爽不油,口感味道都不錯。 11.四季豆:口感清脆,味道鮮甜,並灑上白芝麻搭配。 12.酸辣飯:配料跟酸辣麵一樣,只是主食由麵改為飯,其實就是泡飯,相當可口,上桌時配料蓋住,完全看不到飯。(2024.05、2024.11、2025.06更新:再次點酸辣飯,仍維持不錯的水準) 13.養生藥膳麵:湯的藥膳味香,喝來不偏甜,有枸杞的自然甘甜,味道不錯,配料有素鰻塊、蓮子、白菜、枸杞,不差,份量不多,配料份量若多一點會更好。 14.酸辣麵:湯胡椒味濃,喝來微麻,雖不酸不辣,但味道不錯。配料有份量不少的紅白蘿蔔絲、竹筍絲、木耳絲、花干切絲、豆腐,都有到位,麵條以前用陽春麵,口感軟爛,現在改用細拉麵,有好一點,但仍偏軟,若能硬Q一點會更好。整體份量夠,一般男士都吃得飽。價格稍偏高。 15.招牌快餐:白飯口感可以,若能再黏Q點口感會更好,白飯上鋪了一層炸醬,以豆干丁、素肉與香椿調製,不過鹹不過甜,味道還不錯,香椿味較淡。配菜四樣,青花菜、彩椒清爽,高麗菜清脆鮮甜,杏鮑菇採三杯之做法,軟Q不過甜,味道還不錯。13:00用餐,配菜皆已涼,冷天中若能將菜保溫,會更暖心暖胃。份量可以,一般男士吃完近八分飽。 16.苦瓜:口感偏軟,味道稍偏甜,若能適量降低糖量味道會更好。 二、店內採用木桌木凳,有六張4人桌,三張6人桌,一張2人桌,共可容納44人用餐。 三、2020年第四季店家招牌換新,內部重新裝潢,2020.11起改販售單點現做的餐食,不再販售自助餐。內部較開闊,乾淨明亮,環境比以往舒適。
