臨洋港生猛活海鮮長安店 — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

My coworker brought me here to show me an authentic Taiwanese after-work restaurant outing, with the best food. And it was amazing!! I'm so grateful for this experience.

The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and the food is incredible. I even tried fried stinky tofu for the first time (which wasn't too bad, but the 3 spice sauce is the best!). The shrimp puffs with pineapple was sooo good 🤤 we had beef with vegetables, pork with noodles, and sooo many tasty dishes. Everything was unique - an excellent sampling of authentic dishes. Also they have 18 day beers! (they usually have a beer representative there with special promotions)

This is my first bad review. THE 2nd FlOOR OLD waitress is really rude and not helping at all. I was asking about the menu, she cut me and said “ im so busy, you try to figure out by yourself”. But the 1st floor waitresses are so nice and helping us to order food in hanzi. And throughout the dinner , 2nd floor waitress always giving us a side eyes and always complaining.

My sister asked about the glass. She said “is that not enough glass i give you?!”

She stood in front of the refrigerator, i walked to her and asked “can i get the water” . She answered rudely “Ni zi ji na”

Really, one of the better Chinese restaurants I have been to in a while. I thought everything we ordered here was excellent. I don't know all the names because my wife ordered, but the sweet and sour pork was a standout. Food also came very quickly.

It's not a very fancy restaurant though. You get your own drinks from a fridge. Get your own white rice. So there's really no table service other than bringing the food out to you. Seats are also pretty uncomfortable and the tables are awkwardly low. There's a guy preparing string beans at one of the tables.
