I arrived at this place at about 1.30pm thinking of grabbing a sandwich and coffee. Apparently they only start serving sandwiches after 2pm. So I ordered the Japanese style pan fried fish. I have no issue with the food except that I do not take the soup with beef stock and also the bamboo shoots they served was way to pungent to my liking. I was rather disappointed with the male waiter that served me at the counter. His attitude was cold and without any expression. Had to ask the waitress for milk and sugar, only for her to then tell us that sugar was a self-serve thing. So maybe the lady who took our order wasn’t supposed to ask if we wanted sugar in our coffees?
The mushrooms with my food tasted revolting and were completely unseasoned. My friend’s order of maple syrup pancakes and fried chicken also came with the pancakes smeared with tartare sauce.
