Felice饗樂 Pasta&Dessert &鍋物 — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Fantastic little restaurant that serves a mix of foods that should please every tastebud. Pastas are wonderful and have unique tastes including truffles risotto with thousand year old egg (who would have thought the flavors would pair up so well and look so appealing? The mushrooms used are fresh and seem to burst with juice and flavor). Danish salami pasta looks a bit plain but tosses a big surprise in the taste - first bite is initially bland but bursts with garlicky, olive oil richness that becomes addicting (I ordered it twice in a row now). Tomato Mozzarella pasta is interesting as the cheese melts but hardened as you eat it. The beef over rice is better than the chain Sukiya store. Three types of sets A, B, C depending on how hungry you are. The garlic toast uses plain white bread but tastes pretty good with lightly buttered garlic paste. Ice cream has two choices when I visited: cappuccino, or milk with chocolate pieces. I think it’s Movempick brand. Chocolate milk is rich genuine chocolate that adults and chocolate lovers will appreciate but my daughter found it bitter despite adding liquid sugar to it. The hostess was very friendly and despite being busy still maintained a kindness and caring attitude for the food and customers. The chef cooked nonstop but seemed unfazed in providing the high quality homemade dishes. Atmosphere is clean and pleasant, bright and spacious though not many tables available (5-6, seats maybe 20 customers). Off the main road so probably doesn’t get as many customers as it deserves. Food was pretty tasty – definitely on the pricy side though so expected a little more service and care. Found the service a bit dismissive, like I was interrupting the worker's break time or something by coming in. It was just one guy taking orders, cooking, cleaning, etc when I came at around 2pm – not sure if that's always the case but I felt like a bother trying to order while he was cleaning!

The seafood basil pasta was really delicious, and the truffle mushroom risotto was pretty good. The menu selection is HUGE and pretty creative so you're bound to find something you'll like, although it's also a little overwhelming to decide from all the options. This restaurant is very cozy with very unique flavors. Even though most dishes are based from pasta and rice they put very flavorful tastes in each dish. They also are versatile with their choices of veggies and meat dishes in case you come with meat and veggies eaters. Over a good place to come for a quick and enjoyable rice and pasta meal.
