MUD Bar — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Probably the worse service / bartending I have ever experienced. If I could give a negative rating I would. Before reading this review, keep in mind that they charge a 10% service fee and drinks are about 400 NT on average. It was around 11 pm and the establishment was full but wasn't crowded or busy

My friend arrived 20 minutes before my other friends and I did and ordered a drink. After our whole party arrived, the drink finally came.

There was space at the bar but not enough stools. We waited for a couple minutes for someone to greet us but 2 of 3 of the bartenders were making drinks and 1 of them was simply drying cups. So we had to get our own stools. We then asked for the menu - we were pointed in a direction and told "it's over there". We proceeded to get our own menus.

The rest of our party ordered together with the female bartender. 1 drink came within 5 minutes. The bartender then proceeded to wash the shakers (there were plenty on the bar already so that was unnecessary), wipe down some cups, and even had a snack instead of beginning to make our drinks.

Another 10-15 minutes went by of the bartender continuing to do tasks OTHER THAN BARTENDING. I had to ask another bartender about our drinks and he proceeded to mislead us by telling us there was broken glass on the floor that they needed to clean up first (there was broken glass, but it was broken well after we ordered drinks).

The female bartender tried to explain to us that the first drink came quickly because it was easy to make (quite a ridiculous excuse as part of the experience and service is that you receive your drinks at the same time and try them at the same time as your friends).

I can fully accept if the bartenders were backed up and making drinks for others patrons and the slowed the service, but what I can't accept is terrible service and terrible attitude.

I would not recommend anyone looking for a good night or good experience to come to this bar.

At first , the venue is great and I immediately liked the place , we had 6 people and all ordered drinks, the popcorn was served in the original Costco Kirkland bag straight out of microwave, upon requesting a bowl the waitress refused to provide, stating that they do not provide utencils , then took the bag away to cut it open for easier access , I guess you can call it environment friendly; the drinks were all mediocre and with distain, I think I probably would mixed a better drink at a soda fountain, not to mention its above market rate at 450ntd each, then the charcuterie platter wasnt served till 30 minutes later, after checking the order 3 times, after all of us finished our drinks , and the cheese tasted like bitter rubber and seems like it weird flavors sucked in from sitting in the fridge

Upon complaining to the waitress , the store manager came by to explain things which was appreciated , he offered us free shots and and elaborate on the cheese selection , I was ok with such compensation, but the tipping point is when I realized they charged me $3960 when the receipt said 3520 , which should have been correct for $600 minimum X6 at $3600

I'm giving place a 2 star for the venue; the service, food and drinks was absolutely horrendous

Used to like it, until I went in with a friend. Although it was 95% empty, we were told we couldn't sit where we wanted to because our party wasn't big enough.

It reminded me of an experience at the hotel's Ximendien location. I can't remember exactly what it was, but a similar thing in their restaurant.
