gourmet choice. One of the few restaurants which I rate with 4 stars. Truly Cantonese cuisine without being compromised with local taste. Every dish is precisely prepared and cooked. My first visit dated 20+ years ago. The chef just looked very Cantonese and very kitchen driven. Heavy smoker. Bad temper. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago. Fortunately his son inherits all the cooking skills, of course through some learning curve. Now He junior can control almost all dishes and usher them in authentic Cantonese flavors. Also the owner took advantage of the COVID-19 hit and redecorate this shabby restaurant with moderately decorations. Nicer. Cleaner. Brighter. Meals are so so but comparatively ok! But the kitchen and the waitress service is subpar! They missed my order and need the customer to remind them again and again before they found out the did miss my order, which I had placed 45 minutes ago. The fish was overcooked. There was too much water left in the dish after steaming! I would have thought that the cook forgot to drain the excess water before putting shallots, burn oil, and soya sauce onto the fish. A seafood restaurant owned and operated by Hong Kong Chinese immigrants. The standard of seafood dishes is excellent, especially steamed fishes, lobsters, and soya sauce prawns. Meat and vegetable dishes are also good, and the portion can be adjusted depending on heads per table. The only drawback is that the restaurant is crowded and pretty noisy at peak hours. 2022/9/24 三訪,寫下初次預定的菜色: • 港式上湯焗龍蝦伊麵(三十三兩)(Bake Australia Lobster Gratin with Broth with noddles):初次吃。預定時要求了麵稍硬無奶油,澳洲龍蝦的份量很大,每個人一碗都可以有龍蝦伊麵,沒有奶油的伊麵,就不會過於膩口,龍蝦極彈牙,搭配伊麵,粵式口味,唇齒留香。 • 山楂陳醋骨 (Baked Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs):初次吃。這就是京都焗肉排,酸鹹軟嫩,十分下飯。 • 清蒸筍殼魚(二十二兩)(Steamed Marble Goby):初次吃。細緻魚肉,不過沒有魚頭噎,不曉得是不是不適合吃魚頭,所以沒有魚頭?不過瑕不掩瑜,很新鮮,畢竟直接從魚缸現撈起來,新鮮的不得了。 • 蒸蘿蔔糕一塊 (Steamed handmade Radish Cake):初次吃。正方形立體蘿蔔糕,滿滿的蘿蔔絲,鹹香醬油,立刻被吃光。尚未上菜前想加點,已售完。 • 百合銀杏炒蘆筍 (Stir-fried Asparagus with Lily Bulbs and Ginkgo):初次吃。唯一蔬菜,蘆筍好粗,鮮甜。 • 今日例湯(冬瓜薏仁)(Soup of the day):比較喜歡上次的(玉米紅蘿蔔山藥排骨雞湯),裡頭含有雞爪,膠原蛋白,喝好多碗。 五年後的二訪,不得不說依舊好吃,我或許已經忘記五年前的菜色了,但今天的菜單有十樣外加甜湯: • XO醬百花釀油條 (Stuffed Fried Dough Puffs with ShrimpPaste with XO Sauce) - 油條裡面包實在的蝦子泥醬 • 三星蔥卷 (Fried Yilan Green Onion Roll)- 炸得酥脆的外皮裡,滿滿的三星蔥 • 豆鼓炒生腸 (Sauteed Pig Intestine with Fermented Bear Paste) - 味道很足,生腸很脆的一道鹹辣滋味 • 當紅脆皮雞 (Deep-fried Crispy Chicken) - 不出錯的經典台灣桌菜必備菜餚 • 吊片馬蹄蒸肉餅 (Steamed Cuttlefish with Water Chestnut in Minced Pork) - 醃漬入味的肉餅,含有蝦子、香菇、馬蹄條的點綴,指甲片的大小混合肉餅,蒸成圓形 • 明火煲例湯(玉米紅蘿蔔山藥排骨雞湯)- 甜!自然的甜。 • 清蒸龍虎斑 (Steamed Grouper) - 鮮,Q彈的外皮,細嫩的魚肉口感,咀嚼到後面,估溜下喉嚨 • 金銀蛋菠菜 (Stir-fried Spinach with Salted and Preserved Eggs) - 原本是莧菜,但換成菠菜也很棒的金銀(鹹蛋與皮蛋)炒菠菜 • 九記海鮮豆腐煲 (House Seeafood and Tofu in Clay Pot) - 海鮮煲,有鮑魚、香菇、大蝦、馬蹄條、豆腐、中卷、章魚 • 臘味煲仔飯 (Rice cooked with labored Casserole) - 經典,臘味三拼很棒,跟粵香園有得比。香腸、肝腸、臘腸,每一樣都很好吃,不柴不甘不會難以入喉,香、Q、意猶未盡。煲仔飯的窯鍋,更是含有鍋巴的餅乾香味,淋上臘味拼盤的油,香氣整個爆發,不得了。 • 紅豆薏仁湯

三十幾年前的九記,據上一輩的描述,可能是爾等這一輩應該不太敢光臨的餐館(我猜是大排檔環境重現之故吧!)轉眼間已是2023年,如今的九記,已不再是過往陳舊的刻板印象,早已蛻變成一家眾所皆知,實至名歸的老饕必吃餐廳,託部門送舊以及故人歸來之福,終於吃到了這一頓幾乎無雷,每口都是老師傅多年經驗的港式饗宴。 當天實在是太多道佳餚,我就依照每一道的特色,約略地與大夥分享一下我的餐後經驗吧! 清蒸時鮮 - 簡單調味,讓魚貨盡情地將鮮美以及嫩Q,發揮到淋漓盡致,只在最後灑上蔥鬚段來點綴,讓賓客吃得到食物的原本風味。 牛小排 - 烹煮時間似乎稍稍給它過熟了些,所以肉質咬起來有點硬跟老,切薄的乾蒜片有提味的點睛之效。 荔蓉鑲帶子 - 外表炸得油香酥脆,內層是細緻鬆軟的芋泥,裹附著一整顆嫩口的大干貝,堪稱是道費時的功夫菜,也是不可遺漏的一道佳餚。 山楂陳醋骨 - 肉質的鮮嫩度,高過當天的牛小排,甜酸略微回甘的醬汁,讓豬排骨搖身一變,成為桌上一道既下飯又頗具獨特口味的必點名菜。 )XO百花釀油條 - 不輸五星飯店中餐廳的火候以及口味,完全呈現出我第一次在喜來登辰園吃到這一道菜時的完美印象,油條的酥脆,一口咬下時,連同鑲在裡面的蝦漿,兩種不同味蕾觸感,混搭互補,滋味真的是無話可說,一定要親自吃過,才能完全體會我的感動為的是那般。 脆皮雞 - 已是餐廳著名菜色,雞肉不柴,油中帶嫩,連同那層焦黃脆感的外皮一起咬下,單吃或沾些胡椒鹽再吃,風味都是一樣,唇齒留香,久久不會散去。 生抽煎草蝦 - 新鮮的蝦兒,殼肉不沾黏,大火醬炒後,隻隻入味,而且替蝦妹脫衣服(褪殼)超容易,佐白米飯也很對味。 羅漢齋豆腐煲 - 因為部門裡有吃素的族群,所以公平起見,素菜也需入選,因為我是肉食主義者,所以只淺嚐了一口,感覺味道不差,裡面的配料也挺豐富的,應該是會讓茹素者吃得滿意的。 金銀蛋菠菜 - 原本應該是莧菜,可能這個季節產量少,所以改用菠菜來代替,是蠻清爽且無負擔的一道菜,而且菠菜為葉酸含量最高的蔬菜,可修復抑癌因子及腫瘤的蔓延。然後皮蛋跟鹹蛋的完美比例調和,整道菜看似簡單無奇,其實蘊藏了不同層次的風味。 鹹魚薑米炒勝瓜 - 我投降,因為是我不敢碰的食物!但聽辦公室妹妹簡述,瓜吃起來不會太軟爛😁 干燒伊麵 - 可能是九記的炒鍋夠大,火候夠旺,師傅的經驗夠老道,總覺得這麵比其他家的麵,麵體軟硬適中,麵條不糾結,而且都有沾附到熱鍋大炒時所淋入的醬汁,趁熱吃,非常好吃。 馬蹄條 - 內含椰奶+荸薺的炸物甜品,是道水準之內的飯後佳作。 最後還有店家招待的柚皮紅豆薏仁湯,口感沒台式紅豆湯那麼濃稠,味道也沒那麼甜,算是為嗑完一整頓重口味美食之後,最輕盈且適宜的一個Ending 了! 林林總總說了一堆,就用簡單幾句話來總結,整體說來,九記吃的不是氣派裝潢,吃的是口耳相傳的傳承好味道,走一趟九記,絕對不會讓你空手而回,必定讓你大腹便便、開心地滿載而歸的。

2022/9/24 三訪,寫下初次預定的菜色: • 港式上湯焗龍蝦伊麵(三十三兩)(Bake Australia Lobster Gratin with Broth with noddles):初次吃。預定時要求了麵稍硬無奶油,澳洲龍蝦的份量很大,每個人一碗都可以有龍蝦伊麵,沒有奶油的伊麵,就不會過於膩口,龍蝦極彈牙,搭配伊麵,粵式口味,唇齒留香。 • 山楂陳醋骨 (Baked Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs):初次吃。這就是京都焗肉排,酸鹹軟嫩,十分下飯。 • 清蒸筍殼魚(二十二兩)(Steamed Marble Goby):初次吃。細緻魚肉,不過沒有魚頭噎,不曉得是不是不適合吃魚頭,所以沒有魚頭?不過瑕不掩瑜,很新鮮,畢竟直接從魚缸現撈起來,新鮮的不得了。 • 蒸蘿蔔糕一塊 (Steamed handmade Radish Cake):初次吃。正方形立體蘿蔔糕,滿滿的蘿蔔絲,鹹香醬油,立刻被吃光。尚未上菜前想加點,已售完。 • 百合銀杏炒蘆筍 (Stir-fried Asparagus with Lily Bulbs and Ginkgo):初次吃。唯一蔬菜,蘆筍好粗,鮮甜。 • 今日例湯(冬瓜薏仁)(Soup of the day):比較喜歡上次的(玉米紅蘿蔔山藥排骨雞湯),裡頭含有雞爪,膠原蛋白,喝好多碗。 五年後的二訪,不得不說依舊好吃,我或許已經忘記五年前的菜色了,但今天的菜單有十樣外加甜湯: • XO醬百花釀油條 (Stuffed Fried Dough Puffs with ShrimpPaste with XO Sauce) - 油條裡面包實在的蝦子泥醬 • 三星蔥卷 (Fried Yilan Green Onion Roll)- 炸得酥脆的外皮裡,滿滿的三星蔥 • 豆鼓炒生腸 (Sauteed Pig Intestine with Fermented Bear Paste) - 味道很足,生腸很脆的一道鹹辣滋味 • 當紅脆皮雞 (Deep-fried Crispy Chicken) - 不出錯的經典台灣桌菜必備菜餚 • 吊片馬蹄蒸肉餅 (Steamed Cuttlefish with Water Chestnut in Minced Pork) - 醃漬入味的肉餅,含有蝦子、香菇、馬蹄條的點綴,指甲片的大小混合肉餅,蒸成圓形 • 明火煲例湯(玉米紅蘿蔔山藥排骨雞湯)- 甜!自然的甜。 • 清蒸龍虎斑 (Steamed Grouper) - 鮮,Q彈的外皮,細嫩的魚肉口感,咀嚼到後面,估溜下喉嚨 • 金銀蛋菠菜 (Stir-fried Spinach with Salted and Preserved Eggs) - 原本是莧菜,但換成菠菜也很棒的金銀(鹹蛋與皮蛋)炒菠菜 • 九記海鮮豆腐煲 (House Seeafood and Tofu in Clay Pot) - 海鮮煲,有鮑魚、香菇、大蝦、馬蹄條、豆腐、中卷、章魚 • 臘味煲仔飯 (Rice cooked with labored Casserole) - 經典,臘味三拼很棒,跟粵香園有得比。香腸、肝腸、臘腸,每一樣都很好吃,不柴不甘不會難以入喉,香、Q、意猶未盡。煲仔飯的窯鍋,更是含有鍋巴的餅乾香味,淋上臘味拼盤的油,香氣整個爆發,不得了。 • 紅豆薏仁湯

三十幾年前的九記,據上一輩的描述,可能是爾等這一輩應該不太敢光臨的餐館(我猜是大排檔環境重現之故吧!)轉眼間已是2023年,如今的九記,已不再是過往陳舊的刻板印象,早已蛻變成一家眾所皆知,實至名歸的老饕必吃餐廳,託部門送舊以及故人歸來之福,終於吃到了這一頓幾乎無雷,每口都是老師傅多年經驗的港式饗宴。 當天實在是太多道佳餚,我就依照每一道的特色,約略地與大夥分享一下我的餐後經驗吧! 清蒸時鮮 - 簡單調味,讓魚貨盡情地將鮮美以及嫩Q,發揮到淋漓盡致,只在最後灑上蔥鬚段來點綴,讓賓客吃得到食物的原本風味。 牛小排 - 烹煮時間似乎稍稍給它過熟了些,所以肉質咬起來有點硬跟老,切薄的乾蒜片有提味的點睛之效。 荔蓉鑲帶子 - 外表炸得油香酥脆,內層是細緻鬆軟的芋泥,裹附著一整顆嫩口的大干貝,堪稱是道費時的功夫菜,也是不可遺漏的一道佳餚。 山楂陳醋骨 - 肉質的鮮嫩度,高過當天的牛小排,甜酸略微回甘的醬汁,讓豬排骨搖身一變,成為桌上一道既下飯又頗具獨特口味的必點名菜。 )XO百花釀油條 - 不輸五星飯店中餐廳的火候以及口味,完全呈現出我第一次在喜來登辰園吃到這一道菜時的完美印象,油條的酥脆,一口咬下時,連同鑲在裡面的蝦漿,兩種不同味蕾觸感,混搭互補,滋味真的是無話可說,一定要親自吃過,才能完全體會我的感動為的是那般。 脆皮雞 - 已是餐廳著名菜色,雞肉不柴,油中帶嫩,連同那層焦黃脆感的外皮一起咬下,單吃或沾些胡椒鹽再吃,風味都是一樣,唇齒留香,久久不會散去。 生抽煎草蝦 - 新鮮的蝦兒,殼肉不沾黏,大火醬炒後,隻隻入味,而且替蝦妹脫衣服(褪殼)超容易,佐白米飯也很對味。 羅漢齋豆腐煲 - 因為部門裡有吃素的族群,所以公平起見,素菜也需入選,因為我是肉食主義者,所以只淺嚐了一口,感覺味道不差,裡面的配料也挺豐富的,應該是會讓茹素者吃得滿意的。 金銀蛋菠菜 - 原本應該是莧菜,可能這個季節產量少,所以改用菠菜來代替,是蠻清爽且無負擔的一道菜,而且菠菜為葉酸含量最高的蔬菜,可修復抑癌因子及腫瘤的蔓延。然後皮蛋跟鹹蛋的完美比例調和,整道菜看似簡單無奇,其實蘊藏了不同層次的風味。 鹹魚薑米炒勝瓜 - 我投降,因為是我不敢碰的食物!但聽辦公室妹妹簡述,瓜吃起來不會太軟爛😁 干燒伊麵 - 可能是九記的炒鍋夠大,火候夠旺,師傅的經驗夠老道,總覺得這麵比其他家的麵,麵體軟硬適中,麵條不糾結,而且都有沾附到熱鍋大炒時所淋入的醬汁,趁熱吃,非常好吃。 馬蹄條 - 內含椰奶+荸薺的炸物甜品,是道水準之內的飯後佳作。 最後還有店家招待的柚皮紅豆薏仁湯,口感沒台式紅豆湯那麼濃稠,味道也沒那麼甜,算是為嗑完一整頓重口味美食之後,最輕盈且適宜的一個Ending 了! 林林總總說了一堆,就用簡單幾句話來總結,整體說來,九記吃的不是氣派裝潢,吃的是口耳相傳的傳承好味道,走一趟九記,絕對不會讓你空手而回,必定讓你大腹便便、開心地滿載而歸的。
