Chi Chia Chuang (Changchun Road) — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

Had a yummy lunch here - was the last stop of our trip before we headed to the airport. It feels like an old school restaurant where old people come to meet their friends for a meal. The waitress who was in charge of our section was super great. She gave great recommendations and other local patrons happily said hi to her when they arrived.

For food, my favourite was the tofu - it’s not Mapo Tofu but it has a slight spice to it. Goes super well with rice. Their rice is made from Chicken Soup so its super fragrant even on its own. Veggies were both good - spinach and white bitter gourd. The three types of chicken was a major hit with us too. My mom and partner both really enjoyed the smoked chicken. My dad enjoyed the black chicken. I like the standard one haha. While I love my oyster omelettes, I wasn’t blown away by this one. It was good but not a must have. Recommend by Michelin guide multiple times, this more than 50 years old restaurant who specializes in making chicken cuisine still standing tall and strong. Opened in 1974, it's like dining in a museum.

Must try their 3 flavor chicken, their signature dish made this restaurant famous, juicy and succulent white meat and seasoned in their house made spices or wood smoked to give that nutty earthy aroma, also don't forget to try out the dark bone chicken, maybe its not that appealing by the looks of it but it tasted better ordinary white chicken.

A traditional and historical restaurant in Taipei . This is a place for really really good chicken which is full of nature favour from chicken. The three-Color chicken is very tender and juicy. All the dishes are somehow related to chicken. The chicken roll is crispy in the outside and juicy is in the inside. The pineapple bitter melon soup is must try, interesting combination but turned out a good experience. The egg pudding is a free dessert and it is also eggy.
