Had a yummy lunch here - was the last stop of our trip before we headed to the airport. It feels like an old school restaurant where old people come to meet their friends for a meal. The waitress who was in charge of our section was super great. She gave great recommendations and other local patrons happily said hi to her when they arrived.
For food, my favourite was the tofu - it’s not Mapo Tofu but it has a slight spice to it. Goes super well with rice. Their rice is made from Chicken Soup so its super fragrant even on its own. Veggies were both good - spinach and white bitter gourd. The three types of chicken was a major hit with us too. My mom and partner both really enjoyed the smoked chicken. My dad enjoyed the black chicken. I like the standard one haha. While I love my oyster omelettes, I wasn’t blown away by this one. It was good but not a must have. The clam and chicken soup was massive though hahaha and there was A LOT of chicken…
Definitely one of the better meals we had im Taipei this time. Everything was super...
