I ordered the Seafood Risotto with Pesto sauce, milk tea and the taro cheese cake as dessert. They provide pre-meal bread, you can ask them to refill your bread three times, which is pretty good. The bread taste normal, nothing really special. The seafood risotto with pesto sauce is really good! Usually if I went to pasta place, their dish with pesto sauce is usually not as good as their other dish. This one is higher than what i expected. I can actually taste the pesto sauce in this risotto, it was really creamy. I can also taste the seafood in the rice! The amount of seafood they put in the risotto is actually a lot compare to those other pasta restaurant, it came with the big squid which i think it's really nice. I put the rice in the squid to eat it and it taste good xD. However, the only thing is that i asked for softer rice, but when i tasted it, the rice is still kinda hard, i was expecting like really soft rice, but it still taste like normal rice. Also i felt so thirsty after having the meal. I had to get water to stop the thirst.
Surprisingly i really like their milk tea LOL, you can ask for level of sweetness and ice level. I had 30% of sugar and less ice. i think it's the perfect level for milk tea. It's so refreshing after you had the risotto.
Lastly, Taro cheese cake! I'm not gonna lie, this cheese cake is SO GOOD. But I think the biscuit they use for the cheese cake is not the one I like. I think they should use the regular biscuit, because the one they us It taste like the taiwanese sun cake, which makes the whole cheese cake taste weird. if they could change the biscuit, this taro cheese cake would be super good because the cheese cake itself taste super taroy, it's like u are drinking the taro milk!!!
Overall I would come back to this restaurant to try out...
Read moreThis was my first time at this Italian restaurant. I've seen long lines of customers during the day, but after 2:00, 80% of the tables were filled. I ordered chicken tomato spaghetti and sweet potato soup. The soup comes with a bread stick, which differentiates it from other dishes. After the meal, you can choose one dessert, and I ordered mango sorbet. There are 24 tables on the first floor. There seems to be some in the basement too. I can tell that this restaurant attracts a lot of customers. There is no Tabasco, but there is powdered Tabasco, so it is spicy, but it is my first time trying it. The spaghetti is a little on the hard side, al dente, and the taste is a little sweet, not the usual spicy taste. It's not bad! The bread sticks made me feel quite full, so I felt full while eating the spaghetti. Next time, I'll use the bread sticks in moderation. The clientele is mostly housewives, and lunch meeting customers. The service is good, and the satisfaction level is high. The conversations of the spoiled housewives were loud and noisy. I need some kind of rule for other customers in the future! Please, owner, please consider the future of Taiwan with the increasing number of tourists and business travelers...
Read moreThe meal came with a complimentary appetiser which was bread in long slices. You could also choose a dessert if you ordered a pasta. The bread was soft, crusty and of great taste.
I had a Scampi & Scallop with Lobster Sauce Spaghetti ($330) and an Iced Assam Milk Tea ($80). The delectable spaghetti had amazing texture and the lobster sauce made it perfect. The medium scallops were chewy, fresh and quite delicious, and so was the Scampi.
The Assam milk tea tasted distinctive and superior to most of the milk tea.
For dessert, I chose Chocolate Lava Cake. It was quite fluidic inside and tasted great. The sweetness was on a perfect scale and the cake also got slightly crunchy texture.
In conclusion, the restaurant had already been filled with people only 10 minutes after it opened in spite of the fact that there was a basement floor. The spaghetti was delivered fast but not for the drink. The milk tea came in quite late probably due to the large quantity of customers. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!
FYI, 10% service charge will be included...
