Saizeriya Zhongshan Nanjing Branch — Restaurant in Zhongshan District

I like to dine at Saizeriya, because it's a good restaurant to choose when I'm no idea what to eat. Today, when I first walked in the restaurant, no one at the reception counter which made me feel so unwelcoming. As for my today's meal, I ordered the risotto set and a tiramisu. The risotto is a little bit greasy and doesn't have the spiciness mentioned on the menu; Tiramisu is not good too, the ladyfingers on the bottom is soggy and bitter. I can clearly see the liquid on the bottom, taste like something defrost. I asked the server and being told that there is a spoon of coffee on the ladyfingers and all of it is fresh made. Anyway, I still think this is too soggy, the explanation doesn't...

I've visited this restaurant for several times. You can have pasta, pizza, beef steak, and more here. Both Ximen and Zhongshan (this one) branches are good.

This time we ordered (and recommend) the following: Minestrone (tomato soup) Focaccia with cheese and garlic (the bread itself is tasty already, and it goes well with their soup) Grilled vegetable (appetizer) Grilled squid Grilled Basa fish (with breadcrumb) Bonet with Amaretti (chocolate pudding and almond cookie, as dessert)

My friend did not enjoy their spaghetti bolognese with meatballs (note: meatballs made with beef and pork) though.

Grilled Spicy Popcorn Chicken & Potato ($75): The popcorn chicken was so crispy and delicious and I liked how the chicken was so chewy and savoury. The potato wedges were also truly amazing.

The gluey Bonet ($55) tasted amazing with the crunchy cookies.

To sum up, the drink bar only costs $50 and the total price was definitely economical for a meal. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10!
