Alleycat's Pizza — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

OK, the pizza isn't bad - we had the margherita and it arrived hot, suitably cheesey, and not too oily. It would have fit right in at any pizza restaurant in the New York City area. The crust was thin but not too crispy or burnt on the bottom and, to my surprise (being used to Taiwan pizza) it wasn't at all sweet! The chicken caesar salad lacked finesse - just a plate of tossed romaine lettuce, pieces of chicken, a few grape tomatoes sliced in half, and (rather good, actually) caesar dressing. But the server didn't offer fresh ground pepper, which is typically part of the caesar salad experience in the US. The eggplant appetizer was OK but lacked punch - it could probably benefit from some fresh garlic, more fragrant cheese and a bit of butter. The house red wine was .... ugh! Drinkable, but not at all good. Service: capable but just not very attentive, cheerful...

Absolute worst customer service ever! Tried to go for lunch at 1pm with my son on a Wednesday. The place was 90% empty. We ordered a pizza, french fries, an apple juice and a milkshake. Everything but the pizza came in 10 minutes. After another 25 minutes I asked about the pizza and was told it was still a 40 minute, meanwhile we'd already been there 35 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. The least they could do is warn customers of a long wait time. They asked if I wanted to cancel and said yes. They didn't bother giving a discount or any compensation. I'm sorry but I didn't go there to spend 560 NT on nonsense... The cashier/waiter also tried to keep my receipt and I had to ask for it 3 times, 2 times if which he was confused why I would want it (for the lottery)... the third time he gave it after crumpling it up in his hands....

I’m not sure if I’ve ever had an oddest restaurant experience. On Monday at around 13:45 we were asked to leave !!!! because they won’t be able to serve us faster than 1 hour!!! We arrived the restaurant at 13:30. At around 13:45 we had made our food decisions and basically waitress told us : it’s not a good idea to stay at Alley Cats and wait for food ! It would take too long!!! We were literally PUSHED out of a restaurant and sent to Vinyl Destination! Waitress was: ‘ just go, just go! ‘Horrible .. if restaurant doesn’t want clients then why are they open to a public??? If I could. I’d give this experience ZERO STARS..
