first of all, this place does not have its own bathroom. they totally have the space for it, but i guess decided that because there are already public bathrooms nearby they can skimp on that and use that space for more seats instead, which is just such an unforgivably shortsighted and stupid decision. the women’s and disabled bathroom is outside in the alley to the right,” (assuming you’re coming out of the place), but if you’re looking for the men’s bathroom then you have to go a little further into a sort of adjacent alley that then takes you into a dingy and sketchy building where you then have to climb two flights of stairs. have fun dealing with these public bathrooms when there are events going on outside at Huashan.

the food itself is mediocre at best and basically no better then what you would find at any average place. i was especially disappointed by how bland the “Barbecued Sauce Pork Donburi” (沙茶豬蓋飯) was. like, it really annoys me when places here put a chili pepper next to an item indicating spiciness only for it to be as threatening as black pepper. the best thing out of what we ordered was probably the “Deep Fried Chicken” (黃金鹽酥雞) because it was hot with a crispy outside and tender meat inside without too much breading. the worst thing was the “Chili Soy Milk Dan-dan Noodles” (椒麻豆漿擔擔麵) which i got out of sheer curiosity because i’ve never seen such a strange combo, and it ended up just tasting like sesame noodles in a bowl of dirty dishwater. in fact, i ended up getting food poisoning that very night, and though i have no proof, i’m fairly certain this was the dish that did it (that or the shacha pork because those were the only two dishes that nobody else ate).

lastly, the waitstaff seem pretty inexperienced. they couldn’t answer any questions we had about the food items and on more than one occasion brought food that wasn’t ours to the table, gawked at us in confusion when they realized it wasn’t our food, and then left without a word afterwards. also, we were annoyed that the drinks we ordered weren’t what we had chosen (ordering by QR code is the worst, and restaurants need to stop shoving it down customers’ throats), but the waitress said to just pay to order a new one. like really? you would rather make a measly 60 extra NT at the cost of leaving your customer with a bad impression?

all in all, the place is probably fine if you just go in for a casual drink or snack, but i definitely wouldn’t dine here again, and while i’m sure many people will have better experiences than i did, i’m leaving one star because that’s just how terrible my...

TL;DR : The atmosphere was good, the service was good, the drink came fast, everything was a bit pricey. Couldn’t tell the difference between their drink and the outside shop, but that’s just personal.

Came here with a good friend of mine. We got here at around 18:00 on Thursday so the place wasn’t very busy. The atmosphere was good, the tables are spread out with partitions so that we do not sit back to back. The interior feels more like a minimalist Japanese style than the Chinese style. You order by scanning the QR code. There are lots of dishes and desserts to choose from their menu. We each ordered a glass of their original milk tea with pearls. Their small glass is already big, so be careful which size you order. I personally couldn’t tell the difference between the milk tea but I can definitely tell the difference between the pearls. Their pearls are smaller and chewier which I really like. Overall it is an OK place for the experience of the “first milk tea with...

Tried their Kung Fu noodle and Pearl Milk Tea. Kung Fu noodle tastes really delicious, do separate the spicy sauce and opt for the dry version! Pearl Milk Tea tastes average. Food is slightly on the pricier side. The payment system was a little messy and during peak hour like today's lunch time, there was only 1 poor waiter stationed at the counter who had to help to give queue numbers, guide customers to their table/takeaway queue and help to serve food. This manpower issue definitely can be improved as I saw another waitress walking around a couple of times to see if she can clear our plates - maybe she could help to guide customers too? Just...
