Ramen chain specializing in chicken ramen, and their soup base options are: original (“thick”, intense chicken stock), light (with citrus zest), and salty (less chicken stock altogether).
I ordered the signature chicken ramen with original soup base, and requested less noodles. (They couldn’t reduce the noodle volume, so I asked instead for a bowl in which to transfer the amount I won’t eat, lest it continues to suck up the soup.) the soup is thick and gelatinously full of collagen goodness (see video), but indeed a bit salty—as she warned me before—and they can provide a cup of hot stock on the side on request for you to dilute it to your liking. I did this towards the end of my meal because I felt I should enjoy it as intended first.
The signature bowl comes with a few slices of chicken breast, two large-but-thin deli slices of pork chasiu, ajitama egg, seaweed, and garnishes of green onion and I think diced onion. The meats are done to perfection, and to wonderful texture and taste.
It’s indeed a great bowl of ramen, and most uninitiated would find it too thick and too salty, so keep an open mind when you try it. Or (as they suggest when you ask) just try the “light” soup base instead.
It should be remarked that their service in the restaurant is excellent: they’re courteous in explaining their soups, taking your order (if you don’t want to use the QR system), and if you pass by in the aisle they always step aside and let you pass first. Just top notch.
Decor is new, bright, and inviting. They seat you away from other current customers, and you have ample bag space underneath the table. Water and utensils (and spices if you wish) are on the table for...
Read moreWe'd been eyeing this ramen restaurant downstairs from our hotel in Taipei, drawn in by the persistent queues. Curious, we decided to give it a try for lunch. Unlike many places that serve tonkatsu or miso-based broths, this restaurant specializes in chicken stock soup, which piqued our interest. We opted for their signature bowl, eager to see what all the fuss was about.
When our orders arrived, we were delighted by the generous toppings: two substantial slices of char-siu, three meatballs, tender slices of boiled chicken reminiscent of Singapore's famous chicken rice, and a perfectly cooked onsen egg. The ramen noodles were cooked to a perfect al dente texture, and the portion was generous.
But what truly impressed us was the soup – rich, thick, and incredibly flavorful. Each spoonful was a delight, and we found ourselves savoring every last drop. It was clear why this restaurant draws such long queues: the quality and care that goes into each bowl is evident in every bite. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious, satisfying...
Read moreI was just looking for a place near my university to eat lunch at. Then I walked in and had a bowl of Rich Chicken Broth Ramen and a glass of Yuzu Tea (Sweet Citrus). The staff suggested that I stir the tea before drinking it. I loved the texture of the slices of sweet citrus and its flavour. The chicken was amazingly juicy and chewy, so was the delectable pork with black pepper. Furthermore, the tender ramen noodles were definitely beyond description, for its suitability of its creamy and tasty broth.
To sum up, the staff asked me whether I ate onions or not and therefore I said no and the bowl didn’t contain any onions. The service was genuinely thoughtful and it was inexpensive. On top of that, the store was about to top the lists of my favourite ramen restaurants. Overall it’s definitely a 10 out of 10! FYI, you place your order after scanning...
