Al Cicchetto Huashan Bistro — Restaurant in Zhongzheng District

If there was an option for a Zero star, I would give it zero. I am absolutely mystified how this has an average of 4 star rating.

Went here as a party of 3 people and this is what we ordered:

1 Rice dish which was worse than a family mart microwave meal

1 Pasta dish which I can cook better at home blindfolded

-1 fries. Better go to McDonald’s

1chicken wings. No meat at all, it was skin on bone

1some kind of beef taco which was bread with beef sauce

2 glasses of wine which was a disgrace. Different sizes and the glasses were disgusting

Total price: Over NT 2,100

From a family of caterers with over 80 years experience in the industry, I can honestly say it was the worse dining experience I’ve had in Taiwan.

Food was terrible. Wine was so little I thought it was a sample

People stood outside smoking with the smoke blowing inside and onto us.

The price of our bill wasn’t expensive for 3 people, but the quality of what we ordered vs the price, was robbery.

We came away feeling cheated and very sure that we would not be going to this place again.

My suggestion: go somewhere else to...

I had a Chicken and Mushrooms (Pasta) with Pesto Cream Sauce ($260) and did the Meal Plus Options (Business Lunch) which included a non-alcoholic drink with $85 discount (No refill) and a complimentary vegetable soup (Borscht). Calpis cost $85 which was my choice because I didn’t need to pay more. The chicken was succulent and the noodles tasted great, saucy and a bit cheesy. Besides, there were a plenty of mushrooms and onions but I don’t like eating those as always. The soup was quite sweet and tasty.

In conclusion, the price was moderate but a bit high for undergraduates from NTUT. The atmosphere was kinda dark but there were seats with warm light. Overall, it’s a 9 out of 10!

I'll have to return here again to give a proper review, because I remember really enjoying this place, but in reviewing my google contributions I noticed something odd about this particular review that didn't make any sense. It said I gave an overall 5 star review, but separately 2 stars for food, 0 stars for service and atmosphere, which doesn't make any sense.
