Ah, where do I even begin? This place deserves an award—specifically for managing to turn food into a full-blown health hazard. After what felt like several lifetimes and possibly the birth of a new galaxy, my highly-anticipated “enchilada” arrived. And boy, was it a sight. Imagine if a cheese factory exploded and somehow caught fire, but only in the saddest way possible. The whole thing was practically swimming in a lake of grease—at this point, I wasn’t sure if I ordered food or an oil change.
But wait, the chef decided to spice things up! One bite in, and—SURPRISE! A chicken bone lurking right in the middle. Who needs to pay for the thrill of Russian Roulette when you can experience it for free in every bite here? And as if the raw, pink chicken wasn’t a big enough bonus, the restaurant also decided to throw in an all-you-can-swat fly buffet. Flies everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had reservations.
Honestly, it felt less like a restaurant and more like a social experiment to see how much one person can tolerate before crying. If you’re into dangerously undercooked food, filthy surroundings, and maybe a fun trip to the ER—this is the place for you. As for me, I’ll be booking a therapy session to recover from the trauma. Avoid this place like you’d avoid unsolicited advice from your ex—it’s equally toxic, but with fewer...
Read moreWe were two adults and two kids, so we ordered five dishes to share generously. There was quite a lot of food left, so we decided to take it home. However, they only gave us small foil containers, which meant we had to use several. To our surprise, the bill showed that they charged TZS 1,000 per container and another TZS 1,000 for the non-woven bag, totaling TZS 5,000 just for packaging.
Even at more upscale restaurants, I’ve never been charged for such basic takeaway containers. What’s worse, they never mentioned there would be a charge, even when they brought us additional containers. I brought this up, but the staff’s response was very disappointing.
Next time, I’ll either order less or simply not come back. It really felt like they were trying to take advantage...
Read moreGood old ambience! Nice music! Different nice Mexican menu. Good beverage menu than other restaurants in Dar. Been more than 5 years I've been coming to this restaurant. They have the most amazing Mexican dishes. Their service becomes slow during peak hours as their waiter is the Bartender as well. But I go with the Rule: Good food takes time! Their waiters & other staff are very friendly. The cocktails & mocktails are the best! And the prices are reasonable too. Hope the owner increases some few waiters! Otherwise you guys...
