The Sunrise Restaurant — Restaurant in Shangani

It's not bad. The staff is fast. But the main reason why I went there was that I read here on Google that there are cheap prices for alcohol. Unfortunately it's not. When I was there first time I paid 5.000 tzs for one beer Kilimanzaro. When I was there second time I asked for sure how much is Serengeti beer because it was the only beer cold there and the lady told me quietly 5000 tzs.. After 10 minutes some guys from Europe came and they sat down at the table next to me and they were told that Serengeti is 6.000 tzs! So there are not fix prices! Plus the prices are already same like everywhere else even beautiful beach restaurants. No reason...

Really dingy place which probably survives on the guys repeatedly coming back for another beer and just plain stupid tourists like ourselves. We ordered tuna steaks which tasted weird, but were luckily pretty well done (almost leathery dry). I am happy we didn't get sick here. Don't come here for anything else than drinks, and stay outside. We were a group of six people. From the time we placed our order until everybody had his meal more than 1,5 hours passed. 4 dishes were warm at most. The meals were different from what the waiter explained us. The chicken Tikka was dry as the desert and without any spices what so ever. The waiter told us several times that it would only take 5 or 6 or 7 minutes longer, then everybody would have their meal.

Don't come here for anything...
